Quote:Right here. I may not take everything down, but anything I leave up be will things I can live without. No point in leaving anything up anyway. All bids and listings will be frozen until you log back in and access the market to reset it anyway. Come Aug 16th I'll pull as much out of the market as I can.I, for one, plan on taking everything I have off the market for the conversion. This is for two reasons: first, if there are fewer items on the market the conversion will go faster and smoother. Second, after having worked with databases for years, I know that conversions such as this are fraught with problems. The best way to avoid losing something on the market is to avoid having anything on market.

I like Earth for crowd control. Where it's weaker is singles. You can end up using AOE's to stop 1 or 2 mobs. You feel kind of wasteful for doing that. When you have 4 or more mobs, then it rocks ( no pun intended).
Damage, I'll let others advice on that. -
It does, IF you read it in context.

Quote:( her emphasis)A few of you have made comments about the RP aspects of this merger, so Id like to discuss that a bit.
Quote:As for the Market Merge, two recent developments in Primal Earth are responsible for this change:
Quote:The other is not quite such common knowledge. Out of nowhere, Wentworths has gained access to new suppliers, but all suspicions and investigations have been stymied by the immaculate paperwork of their new partners. Likewise, the Black Market has suddenly seen a rise in activity, though no one has looked too closely at the why so long as the goods are solid. For now, it remains a mystery.
It does make sense. It makes perfect sense after a merged market. I think you are really reading too much into it. -
I doubt WW's message meant seeding. I think she was talking about the Praetoria markets being a source.
As for discussing seeding ,yes, it would be a great inf sink. They wouldn't have to do lots of it. Just drop a few recipes or high priced salvages onto the market. The fact they supplied the item removes the inf from the system. You could pull billions out without too much trouble and some judiscious seeding. Trickle is the key word here, not deluge.
The idea of removing influence from the system, I like. Seeding is a possibility, if done on a limited basis and with careful consideration. I agree with Fulmens, that the inflationary problems in game are due to the vast increase in currency and limited ways of removing it. Both kinds of merits are limited due to not being able to trade them and they are removed from the system after one use. INF does not leave the system fast enough. When you print tons of money, and flood the system , you get inflation. It's a basic law of economics. We've been printing money like crazy by playing the game. Now we have to find a way to remove some of it. -
Quote:I'd expect that to be the case here. It sounds like everything is being set to square one. No history, no bids, no listings. Everything is in a storage state until picked up and reset.GLORIOUS.
What I'm curious about is if the last-five bidding history on items will be wiped at the same time all items revert to Storage state, to truly set the record to zero and give us a fresh start. Otherwise, how would the bid histories merge together from red and blue? If only the highest prices are shown, the insane-o blueside prices will take priority 90% of the time. -

Read and cry, weep, jump, dance, whatever you choose. It's happening ! -
"Manners are often dictated by good sense. If you would be offended by an action, that action is likely to offend others too. Check yourself often to see if your talk, conversations, and treatment of others is respectful or rude. Would you like to be spoken to or treated the same way? Then correct whatever needs correction."
Something I found on the web. I think it pretty much explains the entire situation. The people who wouldn't be offended by someone asking, are the ones who ask. Those who wouldn't ever ask, are the one who consider it rude. I find it rude, and I wouldn't ever ask to join a team, unless the people on the team had called out they were looking for others. -
I like the plasmatic taser. I have it on my lvl 20 dp/kin corruptor. When I remember he has it, I use it a lot. It's great for getting a group off you NOW. Cheap to buy, cheap to put together, IIRC. Lots of uses too.
Stun grenades are good too. -
Add the vendor carts from The Rogue Isles to some locations in Paragon. For instance, Spanky's Boardwalk, or near some of the trams ( in appropriate zones)

This one? It's listed in the guide to guides thread/post in the guide forum. Always a good place to look for something. -
Ran into this last night, and wondered if I was reading this right for Transfusion.
Power description in game: 2 Ticks of 55.56 heal over 1.00s on target ( level 13 Corruptor)
But, in my log, I'm seeing only one line saying this:
"Transfusion heals you for 55.56 Hit Points."
So, My question is this, is the description wrong, and it only heals for one tick of 55.56 at level 13, or is my log showing me a bug, and I'm missing half the effect? There's no line saying a pulse missed or anything. Here's the whole log from firing to next button push:
You activated the Transfusion power.
HIT Fat Freddy! Your Transfusion power had a 95.00% chance to hit, you rolled a 35.22.
Readying Transfusion.
Your Transfusion drains some endurance from Fat Freddy!
Transfusion HITS you! Transfusion power was autohit.
Transfusion heals you for 55.56 Hit Points.
Transfusion is still recharging.
Fat Freddy HITS you! Burst power had a 65.00% chance to hit and rolled a 51.77.
You activated the Empty Clips power.
Just wondering if I'm missing something. -
I've noticed something missing from the Boardwalk. I know it's been suggested before ( I might even have long long ago as well) but what would be nice is either some kiosks or carts down there. Doesn't have to be a bunch of them, just a couple. I'd have to look around but I think there's a couple in the RI that can be just cut and pasted over.

The range debuff forces ranged enemies to keep running into the hurricane, keeping the 37.5% ( and up to 58%) ACC debuff on them.
-
Allow porting influence over, but say, at 50% rate.
Hey, Fulmens, I found you a money sink!
( actually, I'd be ok with this solution. We do need to kill off some inf in the system, and it does represent the idea you suffer a hit to your influence/infamy for swapping, and it will help discourage people hopping sides constantly) -
Possible quick and easy solution.
Allow the mailing of enhancements while in the respec screen.
Not a perfect solution and people may have to empty out their mail boxes before they respec, but it's an option that may be easier to code than to rebuild the respec system, for now. -

The Ocho didn't realize that the matches he'd used to give 8 people a hot foot were actually mini flares, but he really liked the results. -
Excellent challenge Smurphy. Challenging and rewarding. This is getting some gears cranking in the back of my head.

Nope.
Too early. West Coast time zones. -
More stuff for MA in I-17

Having tried Dual Pistols, I can say it doesn't get old either.

Yes, and as others have said, it's who you play with/interact with that makes it possible. When you find the people willing and are able to do such stories and RP, you continue grouping with them.
It takes time to find them though. Sometimes it's an SG. Sometimes you're lucky enough to stumble onto it in a PUG. You just have to keep looking and not give up. They are out there. -
Find a page you like, go to the edit page, copy it, paste it to your page, change the info.
That's one way of doing it. -
And playing with people who know what they are doing helps. If the team you were on was a group of experienced players, who had all run the TF before at least a couple times, that helps. Also, a good leader is another factor to finishing fast.
It also helps if you have a little grey kitten with wings on your team too. *nods sagely*
There are a lot of different factors that contribute to a fast TF run. The more of them you have the more likely it is you will zip through one.
