    I really like it. It makes a nice change from Scorp Shield and I do feel very sturdy, I also put a few other def bonuses in which means I have ~22% Def to M/R/AoE, thus I can pop 2 purples to cap myself. I went for Soul Drain too (which I know sucks compared to the Darkness Mastery APP) but it's still pretty good.

    I actually have a build on mids for SL softcap too.. I think I was just bored of SL softcapping Corrs at the time. (Blasphemy I know.)

    I never really used it much on my Fire/Kin Controller or my Rad/Kin Corr. Sure the -dmg was nice on AVs but it isn't game changing for me and FS damage caps me consistently. All my kins are very clickly/power intensive too.

    I picked up Tough just because I had room for it really and I don't have many endurance troubles. Being a Kin and focusing on AoE I didn't really feel the need to take ES. Though you could easily just swap it for the Hold, which I only really find useful when examping down, or soloing which I do so rarely.

    Switching out the Enzymes will still cap you, but only by 0.02% Other than that, it's not too expensive (Around 1 Bill I'd say with smart bidding).

    For most of my Corruptors yes. Capping Ranged defence sacrifices too much +Rech for my liking normally and I'm happy to use BFs and then pick up Clarion.

    On the other hand, I use Dark Embrace on my Sonic Corr to get ~70%+ SL Res. which is very useful and I built for a bit of ranged Def on top of that. Add in mez prot. from Sonic Dispersion and it's a very sturdy toon.

    Thanks for the info guys.. yeah I don't think the added DDR will be worth it then (Cheers JakHammer/Kenteko). Leaning towards putting in the Spiritual Alpha and going for the +Recov T4.

    All these low Corr ratings make me sad...

    Some of my faves..

    1. Corruptor
    2. Corruptor
    3. Brute
    4. Controller
    5. Widow (Fort)
    6. Scrapper
    7. Dominator
    8. Defender (I just find the damage compared to a Corruptor frustrating.)

    Not to say that I don't love some of the other ATs.. I enjoy my WS, my Fire/Elec Blaster and my Dark Tanker, and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy my Crab when I get round to finishing one.

    Whenever I think of a new toon it's pretty much always a Corr (Then a Brute or a Permadom of some sort.)

    I like Emps, but I find them worse or at most on par with almost every other support set. If I was to pick one buff set to have on a TF I would go with Cold Dom. Good defence buffs, good debuffs. It's also very nice to have a Kin to cap the team's damage. Every other force multiplying buff set is also great to have, ranging from Dark/Sonic/Traps/Thermal...

    Duo Emps (or a team) of course is a different story.

    So I'm tempted to craft the Ageless T4 that grants DDR and stick with Cardiac on my SS/Fire Brute.

    Or I could craft the T4 Ageless with +Recov and go for Spiritual. I'm not just a farmer, so I do a lot of TFs/Trials so is the +DRR really noticeable? Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm at 45% SL Def so staying there permanently with no risk of being debuffed sounds quite nice, but I don't know how effective 84/42/21% DDR will be (If these numbers are right?).

    A lot of the Valkyrie and Alpha costume pieces.

    Thick boots, and the vanguard boots.

    The reaper headpiece (Detail 2) and I too use the High Collar quite a lot. I think the Occult design is very cool.

    I find myself most of the time going for the Scorpion Shield for SL capping. Web Envelope is a nice place for Enfeebled Operation too...

    Fire/Cold Corruptor.

    In short you'll be super useful to the team, be able to solo competently and have good AoE/ST damage. When you get into the higher levels, Scorp Shield/Arctic Fog/Maneuvers/CJ will give you decent amount of defence to play with.

    Great, thanks for all the input guys. Yeah I think I'll be skipping Poison Gas Arrow and then maybe Glue Arrow. Flash Arrow looks fun and there aren't many other powers like it so I'll give it a try.

    I will post up a build at some point in the near future.

    EDIT: And once again, I want to go with the Stone epic (which I know I probably will for SL cap/Fissure) but Rock Armor is just so ugly!

    Nice job, I take it that Shockwave does knockdown on anything +4 or above (or anything that has res to KB). Please correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, I loved how you used it.

    Also the only thing about your end issues I can say is that you left Sprint on.

    So I rolled a Plant/TA and the first things I normally do is play around in mids and see what sort of build I can muster up.

    I've played have a 50 Plant Controller and a 50 Plant Domi so I know that side of things, but I haven't played much TA.

    I'm wondering what powers people tend not to find very useful? I'm think I'm going to quite like Flash Arrow (for some -ToHit), but I could be convinced to skip it, and the same goes for Poison Gas Arrow, Glue Arrow and Ice Arrow.

    So what do you guys think?

    I would echo other recommendations to get scorp shield and soft cap S/L def even when you have no ffg. Then ffg is just a bonus for difficult incarnate content or whatever--or for when the damage type does not have a S/L component.

    High def is very important for a trapster because you want to toe-bomb trip mines.

    And yes, don't slot acid mortar for damage.

    I've always felt Dark was missing something (PvE-Wise) and it's probably just because it has low damage and I'm not a huge fan of TT. Much like you I am waiting to see how Time is gonna shape up, but for now you can't really go wrong with Fire and I like the assonance.

    Oh and for a Psi Blast.. I can see myself making another Cold... Or maybe TA for something totally different!

    For PvP, I hear Ice Blast doesn't fair very well. Bitter Ice Blast (the t3) is worse than the t1/2 blasts iirc. I don't really know what Traps is like in PvP, sorry.

    For PvE I think it will be a good combo, with a good mix of debuffs, AoE and ST damage. I've rolled one myself but haven't really got around to playing it.

    A few notes on your build:

    1) I'd only use 5 Posi's in Ice Storm, maybe save a slot or out a Recharge IO instead of the Dam/Range.

    2) Your resist shield is underslotted if you plan to PvE imo. And you'd want the 3rd Steadfast for the Health bonus if you plan to PvP.

    3) The last 2 bonuses in Basilisk's Gaze are poor IMO. Put the Lockdown proc in Poison Trap and maybe another Recharge.

    4) Use Doctored Wounds for Aid Self, they yeild better enhancement values.

    5) Take out the Chance for Build up in BiB, and I'm not sure how slotting Deci's in Acid Mortar works.

    6) If you decide to just PvE, then aiming for the SL cap with the Scorp Shield and FFG is very easy.

    For reference, here's my PvE Ice/Traps build that I have planned... I went for SL Cap without FFG since I do Speed TFs a lot and it gets quite slow/is a pain to resummon. (With FFG I am capped to Energy def too). It's not the best build out there for sure, but I hope it helps you. Oh and I think I slotted Calptrops that way for when Reactive was broken :P.
