While I am not a fan of the new market interface, this is not a rant thread. As my search-fu sucks, I couldn't find this discussed elsewhere, but when I open up the market, every single item comes up showing "0 for sale, 0 bidding." For marketeering, this is some pretty useful information, and ever since I17, it's been unavailable. Is this just a local glitch on my end, or is this a systemic problem? Is there a fix in the works? Thanks all!

Quote:You're utter FAIL at ebil offends me...leave us, and never befoul the market forums again with your weakness!!Someone typed an extra zero and paid me 450m for a blueside Obliteration piece today. Get in touch with me and I will return the extra influence.
You must provide a screenshot of your market window displaying the purchased Oblit in the bar, saying 'bought!' for 450m.
My global is @Laevateinn -
So, we just completed a MO 5th TF run, complete with no deaths, no temporary powers, only to discover that none of us received the badge. Head scratching ensues, until someone asks the team leader if he set the "Zero Deaths" challenge. "OMG!"
/facepalm -
Actually, it sounds as if your role is to say "Prove it!", then stick your fingers in your ears and shout "LALALALALA" whenever people try to share their expeiriences to you.

There is a discussion on the Defender boards about whether or not defenders can farm. While I know that a defender will never stack up to the efficiency of a fire/kin, I do have a dark/dark defender that is about to ding 50 that can rather easily handle maps spawned for multiple people. I am in the process of purpleing this toon out (it's my marketeer and have a TON of disposable income) and I know that I will be able to do a slower paced farm with her, but am curious what maps or enemy types you would suggest for a D3?

After 3-1/2 years on Infinity redside, I have run a total of (I'm pretty sure) 6 strike forces and trials. Logged my 50 on last night and was on an ITF team in about 4 minutes. Should have done this a long time ago. I love Justice!
-
Yeah, I have the main globals subscribed to , but since I only play blue I tend to filter out any villain posts that come thru.
Until now.
Gonna transfer my main toons over. I need to buy more slots, so won't move them all, but the ones I care about (including my 50) will soon be a part of the Justice family. -
Justice has been my home server blueside since I started playing the game more than 3-1/2 years ago, but my server slots are completely full with heros. For that reason, my wife and I have always kept are villains over on Infinity. While that server is okay (please no flame from any Infinity fans), it has no where near the good feel that I get from my friends on Justice. With the free server transfers about to come to an end, I've been struggling to decide if I should pay the money to buy additional slots and move my high level villains over here. I'm just wondering how active the red side population is on Justice? I hate that I have such a hard time finding SF's to run, and want to know if it is any easier on Justice? Are red side Hami runs done with any regularity? I just would hate to move all of toons and give up my base (which I do have nicely outfitted on Infinity) and still not be able to find fun people to team with...
Can people please share their red side expieriences with me? I only have a few days left of free transfers, and it's time to s*** or get off the pot. -
My D3 is currently at lvl 45, and about to swtart accumulating the IO's for her final build. Here is what I am currently thinking, but would love any comments/criticism/advice that anyone has to offer. My goal is for this toon to be great for team support but also more than capable of soloing. I thought that recharge would be the bonus to focus on (think this build has hasten only down for like 7 seconds). Influence is not really a concern, as thins is my main marketeering toon. Thanks in advance for the help!!

Maybe a stupid question...how do i direct the program to look in a specific directory?
-
On oour laptop, my wife and I have separate profiles and we both play CoX. I downloaded the game to the program files folder from her profile, went through the endless updating, and now everyhting works fine. I thought that I could just link to the same file from my profile, but when I do, it starts to download the entire game again. Is this WAI, or am I just a dork and not doing things correctly. I can't believe that I should have to have to copies of the game on the same machine to run? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
-
I'm positive that I've seen the Troll Rave...sounds like bad luck to me.
-
My friend just updated his laptop from Vista to Windows 7 and had to reinstall CoX. He just tried to log in, and on the server screen his character names appeared, but not the image of the toons. When he logged in, he was invisible, and he can't see anyone else. I logged into my account, and I can see him just fine, and when I hit him with an aura power, he can see the aura, but not his body. The toon is a katana scrapper, and he can even see his weapon when he draws it. Has anyone ever had this happen, and if so, WTF is going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Any wisdom from the market gurus out there on what effect the plentiful merits from the Lord Winter event will have on the market? While playing, I was saying to myself that I know that it will have some effect, I just can't figure out how I can profit from it...
-
Thanks all! I've been casually playing the market since I9, but got really serious when a friend challenged me to race to see who could make a billion the quickest. I've been fairly surprised at how easy making influence really is...
-
I'm leveling up my dark/dark defender, and am getting ready to begin slotting sets. I'm curious as to what is as to which set bonuses would be most useful to go for? Recharge, defense, accuracy? Any particular sets that are a must to slot in certain powers?
-
It feels so good to be so ebil....
By the way, this tea was brewed with the tears of the downtrodden market users whom I took advantage of in accumulating my wealth. Mwa-ha-ha. -
I hear you Goat....that being said, we're still laying the groundwork for the challeng, and I'm thinking that I'm gonna suggest some level of progression be a part of the challenge...otherwise, you're absolutely correct...I could close my eyes, skip the tutorial and head straight to WW. While I do plan on doing some serious work with the market as a part of the challenge, I don't want marketeering to be the focal point.
-
My friend has just issued a challenge to me: we're both gonna roll new toons, and have a race to see who can earn the most influence for a given amount of in game time (not real life time). Any method of earning influence will be acceptable. My questions to the gurus out there is what build would you recommend? We are planning to do this blueside. I know that fire/kins are the obvious answer for farming toons (or at least i think they are), but they seem to be really late blooming (needing imps + fulcrum shift to really kick ***). Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
-
Well, some of us were able to log in a post once we realized that the devs had somehow managed to swap our passwords around. Sure, they posted something about it...INSIDE the boards we couldn't get into...
-
I just read the answer in another thread, but thanbks Fleeting!
-
The old boards would "remember" what you had previously read, so when you clicked on a topic, it would take you to the first unread post. Does this new board not have that feature, or if it does, can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks!

It's the attitudes, for example calling them "AE babies", "braindead children" etc., that I feel works against what you hope for. Some already have a negative feeling toward anyone who has participated in AE, right or wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
I really do try not to be mean, condescending to the newer players who have yet to venture out of the architet and experience "the game the way it was meant to be." As for refering to them as "AE babies", this thread is really meant (IMHO) for veteran players to comment on the wave of newer players that have been brought to the game by the architect, and you vets know what I mean when I refer to an AE baby. It's not meant as an insult (well, a very small one at most), but a description of the playstyle that the architect (for good or bad depending on your point of view) has brought to the game. -
[ QUOTE ]
There's been bad players since before AE
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed whole heartily...but don't you think there have been many more since the launch of AE?
