It's good to have a macro for "stop passive" that clears out their threat list, then follow works.

Console yourselves that there is only about 180 thousand words in the English language. This limits the nomenclature of new currencies and should keep things from getting too out of hand.

Of course CoH is up and right.
It was innovative in many respects, often with elements copied by other MMOs. Cryptic kept touting the fact they made CoH, which they no longer owned, when trying to sell their new games. Jack kept saying how his new Supers MMO (whether it was MO or CO) was going to be better than CoH -- and couldn't deliver.
But CoH delivers. The small trickle of subscriber decline is still extraordinary compared to how few MMOs can wrangle a $15 monthly sub fee out of players, and do so for seven years, even through a Great Recession! -
Astral Merits are the Devs' "you'll get them next time, tiger!"

Quote:Don't get ahead of your team. The old mentality of "I'll gather the next spawn solo and hang out until the team catches up" will get you killed. You'll need the team to back you up. Their heals, and buffs, and foe debuffs, and foe controls, and taking their own turn at absorbing damage will save you.I'm going to try to tank at least one, maybe both of the new trials tonight. On a soft cap Will/SS. Any advice/heads up tip to someone who is a newb on this content?
Rule #1 of the new iTrials: Groups that stay together win.
And it doesn't hurt to already be Alpha'd +1. -
-
I've never seen that behavior with Seige's posse. We always fought him *off* the courts close to the wall of the building (which helps squishies control the situation better).
As far as the 'Alpha bug' goes: There are reports that when you 'die' in an iTrial, the Alpha power doesn't turn back on. Probably related to the turning off of Temp Powers. /bug it if you see it. -
Quote:Someone in another thread said the same thing.I've tried testing this some. My alpha seems to work up till I die. It's after dying that the alpha doesn't seem to reactivate. Does your alpha work when you first enter the trial?
This was never noticed in Beta, so, /bug it with as much information as you can. -
No one saw this behavior in Beta, please keep /bugging it.

I still say that 7 slots is too coincidental to be pure bug.
I'm *guessing* that this was supposed to an anniversary gift for later in the month and we got it by accident now.
The fact that it was accidentally granted is good enough reason not to touch those slots... they're not stable.
And if there actually is a million in one chance that this was a purely accidental bug, may I suggest to the Devs you lie through your teeth and say, "Surprise, this is an early anniversary gift!"

Quote:Powers that say they affect "teammates" only affect your seven teammates. Powers that say they affect "allies" will affect everyone in the League barring distance restrictions and number affected caps (which for almost all ally powers from Primary and Secondary powersets is in the 200 range).... Does this mean that Dispersion Bubble and Sonic Dispersion will now only affect teammates?
I thought you only solo. -
It's ITF all over again. Which people are now bragging their duoing and soloing.
-
There's an assist-50-times badge attached to it. That makes it nearly impossible to do away with it. It may go on hiatuses, but it will never go away forever.

Advancement in Incarnate Slots and Powers is something that should be viewed as taking a month to do... not an evening.
Like any other TF, the final rewards of the Trials are on a cooldown timer. You only get one Empyrean Merit per Trial per day. The Merits are on Diminishing Returns.
If you do either Trial more than once per day... you're doing it wrong. You're trying to rush it. That makes it a grind. Some like the grind and willing do it. If you don't like the grind, then don't.
Don't do the Trials more than once per day. All the other stuff your Incarnate-bound character does will produces Shards which can be converted to Threads which will advance you in the Incarnate Powers. Just about everything you've always been doing will advance you Incarnately. Just not overnight. -
So... If I get enough defense, I should be guaranteed that nothing in the game will ever challenge me? Is that Defense located on a button that says I WIN?
-
Quote:On the plus side, you're getting iXP to unlock your Incarnate Slots!Yeah Good Luck with that. It's not the INFO I am lacking it is players who can follow directions, players who don't quit after one death, and in general IQ. This new stuff is overly complicated for most players. I am seriously thinking of leaving CoH. This type of grind and tediousness is just not fun. 6 hours 14 trials.. 9 Lambdas...5 BAF...not one even REMOTELY successful and in 6 hours.. 21 threads........................................... ......
While this is new, I wouldn't have any hope of a thrown-together group completing the Trials.
Trials in which someone forms a League first and gives instructions and makes sure people are listening -- and if they aren't, kicking them -- then those Trials have a good chance of succeeding. -
Remember when the ITF was introduced?
Some players screamed it was too hard.
Many complained about how it took two to three hours and then they couldn't complete it in the end because there was no way to overcome the heals of the healing Nictus?
Yeah... whatever happened to that? -

Actually, they're controllable like a MM pet or gladiator or the turrets/heavies in Recluse's Victory.
They are more like MM pets except that rename, petsay, and Supremacy don't work with them. All the other /petcom commands work, plus they get the MM control buttons like MM pets. -

And now, the Gettysburg Address in title capitalization:
Four Score And Seven Years Ago Our Fathers Brought Forth On This Continent, A New Nation, Conceived In Liberty, And Dedicated To The Proposition That All Men Are Created Equal.
Now We Are Engaged In A Great Civil War, Testing Whether That Nation, Or Any Nation So Conceived And So Dedicated, Can Long Endure. We Are Met On A Great Battle-Field Of That War. We Have Come To Dedicate A Portion Of That Field, As A Final Resting Place For Those Who Here Gave Their Lives That That Nation Might Live. It Is Altogether Fitting And Proper That We Should Do This.
But, In A Larger Sense, We Can Not Dedicate -- We Can Not Consecrate -- We Can Not Hallow -- This Ground. The Brave Men, Living And Dead, Who Struggled Here, Have Consecrated It, Far Above Our Poor Power To Add Or Detract. The World Will Little Note, Nor Long Remember What We Say Here, But It Can Never Forget What They Did Here. It Is For Us The Living, Rather, To Be Dedicated Here To The Unfinished Work Which They Who Fought Here Have Thus Far So Nobly Advanced. It Is Rather For Us To Be Here Dedicated To The Great Task Remaining Before Us -- That From These Honored Dead We Take Increased Devotion To That Cause For Which They Gave The Last Full Measure Of Devotion -- That We Here Highly Resolve That These Dead Shall Not Have Died In Vain -- That This Nation, Under God, Shall Have A New Birth Of Freedom -- And That Government Of The People, By The People, For The People, Shall Not Perish From The Earth.
