No, they said they didn't have to give warning. Only if the requirements changed. That said, they've announced twice since the new implementation (of inactive accounts with toons under 6 instead of inactive accounts with toons under 35) that they'd be doing name purges. That also said, they haven't said whether they've done it more often than that. :x

Did your wife (or you, but this question would be odd directed to a scrapper) have Tactics? It increases the range at which Lady Jane (and all other pet allies) sees foes.

Nothing unusual. The test server's billing details lags up to 48 hours behind the live server's billing details. Been that way since forever.

Quote:That's all irrelevant as well. Chad seems to be confused how someone could get a veteran badge in September when their account expired in November... *cough*I never said it wasn't. I was just trying to explain to Chad why the veteran dates and payment dates are not always the same time of the month. Whether or not the OP meant the account expired exactly on that day, or that they simply let time expire at that point.. or how it affects his current badge is all irrelevant to my post.

Quote:They wouldn't have done it today anyway. Most of their "cool stuff" happens on Tuesdays, so they can have Mondays to clean up after the oddities that may have occurred over the weekends.9:30 PM EST/6:30 PM PST. Open Beta: Today: Unlikely. Open Beta: Tomorrow: Possible.
Also, they were at PAX East this weekend. Coming home and immediately opening the beta up would have been a huge stretch anyway. -
Quote:I got 33 months on September 26th, 2009, then let my account lapse on November 15th (the day the Loyalty program ended).Quote:I'm a little confused as to how your account lapsed on the 15th while you were earning rewards on the 26th, unless you simply meant that you shut off payment on that date.

Most likely. Although server 2 will probably have its own temporary updater during concurrent testing. (See also: CoV beta)

Whoops, mistype, meant 3GB (referencing test size since it's the next step)

Quote:...it hasn't been that long a closed beta at all, nothing but "average". Average closed beta has been 28 days. It's been 27 days, some of which was taken up by the devs getting ready for PAX East so you have to forgive them that. I wouldn't be surprised by Open Beta tomorrow, but I wouldn't be surprised by Open Beta next week or the week after either, considering we're supposed to get GR "friends and family" this week, so the devs will probably be wrapped up in that.I'm just slightly sad because its been so long of a CB.

FYI, from the way this reads, you have two live server installations: City of Heroes and City of Villains. You can uninstall one of your live server City installations. You can run CoH and CoV from the same installation, they are a combined game. You don't need a CoH install and a CoV install. Meaning you can recover a *LOT* of room on your harddrive by removing one of them (City's up over 3GB these days!).

TP Foe fills that gap for now.

I am using DA with Firefox just fine on 3.6.2...

All signs point to "AGP is way too old to run Ultra Mode 'without any problems'"... lol.

Dominators are great at AOE, most of their powers in their primaries are mostly AOE and there are some secondary sets that get decent AOE powers. "Perma-Domination" is nice since Domination makes your mezzes better/longer. It's not nearly as good as it used to be before Dominators were revamped to do better damage outside of Domination. But it's still nice.
It requires significant investment, in terms of money and time, to create a perma-Dom character. It requires a lot of extra recharge, in the way of Invention System set bonuses.

Every hero and villain archetype has an AOE-capable set or sometimes multiple AOE-capable sets. Where do you prefer to play? In melee or out at range?

Regardless of what you mean, making a stupid mistake (or more than one) does not make a person stupid, which is what you seem to be implying.

Quote:I don't care about people complaining about things. Give a person a free piece of cake and they'll complain it's not a flavor they like.Playing Devil's Advocate here, are you saying the Devs have never made what players have considered to be stupid decisions? Look at PvP. And regardless of how trivial the reward will be for staying true, there will be people complaining about having their fallen / redeemed characters being locked out of it.
Locking a game system out of another game system, when they are both access-gated by the same expansion, is just shooting yourself in the foot. It's stupid. STUPID.
PVP I really don't care about. They've made PVP changes that affects an incredibly small subset of players, and does not affect any other part of the game. I don't call them stupid, no; Castle himself has said that it didn't include all the changes he wanted, and some of the changes weren't even close to what he originally suggested.
Locking fallen/redeemed characters out of the Incarnate system, when both of them are gated by purchasing Going Rogue, and when fallen/redeemed characters will probably number in the thousands within months, is just flat out STUPID. There's no other word for it.
Playing devil's advocate for it is equally stupid, to be honest.
