new Firefox has messed up dA

okay tech-heads.

Firefox updated itself and now dA is all woncky...making it almost useable for me.


Help.

Use Google Chrome, Opera, or downgrade Firefox to 3.5.8. You might use IE, but I don't like to use it except to test websites against breakage.

Ihad a lot of odd behaviors, ingame too, after that Firefox update.

Ran a new AntiSpyware scan after, and it is better, but I am not sure it is all fixed.

I am also using 3.6.2 with no issues which along with aggelakis might suggest it is not FF itself but perhaps a plugin, addon or extension you are using that we are not.

Snow Globe has it right, if you are of the mind that "I don't care to know why it's messed up I just want it working again" regress your install of FF to an earlier version.

If you want to be sure it's to do with your FF install (or a part that you added to FF) then go download Google Chrome or fire up the old Internet Explorer that is still on your machine by default and see if you can reproduce the issue.

I need to remember to try out g00gle chrome! Hey, have any of you "upgraded" your Windows Vista to Windows 7 yet? I have been putting it off since I haven't taken the time to look into it, and I want to make sure that I don't lose what I already have.

I logged out of dA on Firefox and logged back in. It seems to be working fine for me now. I had the same issues all day yesterday.

I didn't like Vista at all, and upgraded to Win 7 as soons as - I know they say you don't have to do a clean install (which I believe you do from XP) and can just select the "upgrade" action, but I went for the clean install. I just dumped everything I wanted to keep onto a portable HDD and slapped it back on again afterwards.

Have to say, compared to Vista, I'm finding Win 7 to be really nice and stable and usable.

I haven't been back to DA since I picked up a virus from an ad there... I did install Chrome, though. I could use that. Thanks for the reminder.

City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.

Thanks for the insight, Bindweed. I didn't want to have to remove everything from my computer to upgrade to Win7, but to be safe, I better. So now I just need to get me an portable hard drive to make it easier to remove everything from my computer.
