Yes, on Beta, the 1 -> 50 script is in place and it only works on level 1 toons. Copying over a level 5 toon will miss out on the leveling script.

And I just checked: There is no leveling script active on the Training Room Server (i.e., the Test Server).
  3. Will be fixed in Issue 20.5 due to Live sometime this month:

Try auto-completing the mission, or, send a /petition in-game for a GM to complete it for you.

Light greys give XP, but not drops. Still waiting for someone to screencap any grey giving a recipe drop.

No. Level shifts only affect combat parameters.

Then I'd say make a thread about it on Tech/Bugs with that link. It doesn't seem right than an AV should be TPing faster than a Sorcerer.

If you're Dark/Dark, you have to be in the mix healing and debuffing. If the foes aren't constantly missing your pets, then you're not using Dark Miasma correctly.

The safe attack tactic is to put your pets around a corner (goto passive). Then use Darkest Night and SuperSpeed to pull a spawn to the corner. Put down Tar Patch so that the spawn slows down and bunches up in the Tar Patch. Now, they're at -30% Dam Resistance and -20% ToHit. Send your pets after them now. Spam the heal.

When you get used to that tactic, you're ready to move to bonzai mode. You do that by putting yourself in BodyGuard mode and charge the spawn throwing Fearsome Stare followed by Darkest Night and Tar Patch on them (you'll need to make sure you have Break Frees just in case). Run in with the pets and spam heal.

Don't forget that Howling Twilight is a great group stun (hits lieutenants and minions).

Dark/Dark does get a lot better with the Lich and Dark Servant around and when the pets get self-heals at the next upgrade.

If you need to take it slow for a while, pick up TP Foe and pull out the Lieutants into the pet feeding frenzy. Tar Patch will keep the rest of the spawn from overcoming you.

If you want to pick up the pace, take Team TP and drop yourself and the pets right on top of a spawn. Fun times.

Tar Patch and Howling Twilight can not have enough Recharge.

If you aren't married to your ancillary, electric mastery's immobilize makes a great blast power. The single target attack chain becomes dark blast, gloom, dark blast, electric fence.

The slotting is pretty simple. Five pieces of devastation plus a proc for single target attacks (purple proc in dark blast, since it gets used twice as often as the other two powers) and five pieces of positron's blast plus a proc for the area attacks. The purple proc is expensive, but definitely worth it.

A Dark Offender would do well to have as an attack chain:
Tentacles - Nightfall - [DarkBlast v. Boss, or, a Buff]
Being able to hit so many targets with these AoEs is a huge force multiplier. It's like having two Rains on all the time but doing 5 times the damage. Add in the Reactive damage Proc and crowds melt before you.

This also requires very high Recharge, but it's doable.

Then add in Power Ancillary and occasionally go:
Judgment Void (for the debuff) - Build Up - Darkstar
And a Dark Emp can take out a huge spawn by themselves.

The Power Ancillary and IO slotting for Defense and Recharge can make the Offender very survivable. Keep Dark Blast and Moonbeam for Single Target v. AVs. (And Moonbeam is so nice to use from so far away since it's one of the handful of snipes with extended range.) Gloom is redundant.

Is that with CoH running? Cause, that's *a lot* of memory usage.

CoH on UM should only be 2.5 GB running. And if gets to 3 GB, most everyone's client start going chuggy.

Please post the results of this:

    • HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

Of the three, it's the best.

However, look at this list. Start at the top and work your way down until you find the one that has the best pricing and availability. Skip over the ones that are dual cards.

Then maybe that's a bug. I don't know if the powers team intended us to try to kill someone who TPs around as fast as a Tsoo Sorceror.

If you see him TPing quickly, demorecord it. That's the best way to get a Powers Dev to check into it.

I do have a bug report for you, however. For some of the newer pseudo-pet based powers the link to the pseudo-pet is still missing from the main power. In particular Traps for Defenders:
    http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...der_Buff.Traps

The Pseudo Pets are in the database, they just aren't getting linked.
Which ones? They're linked for me. And the link works.

Yes, its 225 range. I tested it in game.

The problem is the issue of things that aren't available in game yet and maybe not even announced, but their code is. Every now and then things get snuck in that aren't there and maybe the devs don't want to let the cat out of the bag (Vet Rewards, for example, are sometimes snuck into the game code and so they show up in Mids before they're announced).
That's not an issue of players seeing things in the Live build they shouldn't see, but Devs not controlling what gets pushed to Live. The things that leak from the Live files are just as likely to show up Live in-game as they are in the files. Thus we have people who find costumes that haven't been released yet, or Vet Rewards being rewarded a few months early. Those things happen precisely because they didn't control the flow to Live and the Live build doesn't have the controls over them to keep them hidden.

And on the subject of Vet Rewards: Remember how they used to announce what they were a year in advance? What appears to be the Devs surprising us is that they rally are procrastinating on planning the rewards with sufficient lead time. The Vet Reward of Assemble the Team was actually late. So... they're not meant to be surprises.

When the Devs do push upcoming content to Live in a pre-download, it should have the right codes and switches to keep it from appearing. And, by that time, what's being pre-downloaded is already known from the Open Beta period.

For example, many of the Incarnate Powers got exposed in advanced through Real Numbers in-game, not because of any file peeking.

And besides, many times the info is rather cryptic as to what it's being used for and that generates buzz. It's been speculated that some (certainly not all) leaks were intentional accidents to create buzz.

Access to the Live Spreadsheet is just the very logical conclusion to Real Numbers.

The things that the Devs really want to keep secret are stored server-side (like figuring out the odds of drops--though, in some cases, they simply told us the odds) and behind P-Strings.

Or to put it another way: There's almost nothing in that spreadsheet that Arcanaville couldn't figure out by in-game testing and Real Numbers reporting.
  18. Primal Duray's TP recharges in 2 minutes. I can see if a team is busy with adds and not focused on following him and keeping up the attack that they'll never overcome his regen.

But, given that his TP is only ever 2 minutes, a focused team should be able to beat him.

Theoretically, this means that their data should be the same. In practice, we purposefully obscure non-player data a bit so that Black Pebble doesn't try and convince the Devs to block us off (I've been told directly from the Devs that they use Mids far too much to kill us off, so long as maintain discretion and don't go waving around our sources). City of Data obscures it by restricting what is visible in the dropdown menus (Zombie Man knows how to work around that), and Mids does it by restricting what it imports when I feed it the spreadsheets.

Then there's the fact that CoD has a very generic interface it uses to show all powersets and powers, something that Mids currently lacks. I really want to add a full-on Power Browser that supports linking to pets and other powers, like CoD does, but that's lower on my list than Exemp and PvP DR support (and just slightly above Mono support).
Well, the game gives away the store on its own so much so that exposing the internal spreadsheets isn't revealing that much more.

When a critter in game hits you with something, there is a damage report telling you how much damage and what type, and the chance to hit, and even the name of the attack. Debuffs show up as icons on the health bar and clicking them gives detailed real numbers about that power. Then we have access to the powersets that most critters use in the AE.

So, we can meticulously work out what everything does and build a spreadsheet of our own which will be about 95% of what the 'secret' internal spreadsheet says.

Or, the devs can look the other way and enjoy the free labor that comes from about a hundred players that use that numbers and provide extensive QA that their own folks don't have time for.

    Winning!

WRT the accuracy of numbers: The Spreadsheet is a report of the numbers that the inner mechanics use. That means the Spreadsheet has to call the correct numbers and format them. Both the calling of the numbers and the formatting can go awry. Importing them into the CoD database can introduce new errors. Real Number reporting in game can also introduce new errors. Importing them into Mids can introduce new errors.

CoD is more comprehensive than in-game Real Numbers. I don't know if I would say it's more accurate.

There is a second internal range number that is 225. Don't know why the first range number is there.

  23. Stranger still:

The bug operates like that on my Laptop, but not my Desktop.

Online I asked if anyone else lost their apostrophe/quickchat pop-up and someone said they did.

I can type the apostrophe in the command line fine, so, it's not a case of my function keys being on.
