  1. Fix the globals already.
  2. The Global friends list is broken on the live servers.

    Fix this. Now.
  3. This suggestion makes too much sense to ever be implemented. The current dev team wouldn't even consider it cause it's a good idea.

The devs actually dont' pvp nor do they know how to pvp. If they actually pvped they would see some of the glaring problems and actually fix them.
  4. For many zone resets, many have wondered, toiled, griefed, QQ'd, and raged at one another. They were weak minded for they know not, the way of the TRU WARRIOR (also known as WARRIR).

The way of the TRU WARRIOR is a modern Japanese art based on traditional teachings. Bushikenkaratejudokan is both physically and mentally challenging. It is not for the weak willed or the weak of heart. Practioners of TRU WARRIOR are known as Fierce Cohort.

You will know when you have encountered a Fierce Cohort, when they are defeated, they will respond with one of the following.

"It only took 8 of u 2 kill meh. I will become 1 w/ da warrior!"

    "u didn't beat me. I just didn't allow u 2 win."

    "stand and fite u coward."

"u popped a bunch of pillz, u are teh noob"

"lol u are a noob" (even though they just got wrecked/killed)

    "if u didn't use AS, I would've won."

"stop going back into hide, u coward. u suk at pvp. fite me like a man"

"u didn't stand on my mines, ur a coward. Fite me rite here rite nao"

As stated before, these are just some of the many responses you will here from FCs. Some of them take this VERY SERIOUSLY. So be wary if practioners that rage very hard. Aside from this, some of them will take their defeat in shame VERY seriously as well. Some many committ ritual suicide. (As stated in the i13 beta boards, please refrain from screaming when doing this and make sure to clean the swords for the next person, plzkthx)

FCs generally speaking also do not like organized or "team" oriented pvp. They generally believe in this notion of the "TRU WARRIOR" where one has to fight toe-to-toe, without any help from others or inspirations. They believe that they will be one with DA WARRIOR by doing this. As one partakes more and more in the WARRIOR training, one will eventually reach a state of nirvana and then continue to PWN for all eternity.

Many of these FCs believe down to their very bones that fighting without thinking is the rational and "real" way of fighting. As you'll see many of them will use their enchancments of "Ethereal shift" or "Phase shift" and stand there, hoping you will simply attack them and rage. However, little do they know, that the Forsaken Servant (also known as Stalker, he too can Shift into another dimension, and he took can deliver his Assassin's Eclipse while shifted). Many of these FC have fallen victim to Stalker's Assassin's Eclipse while shifted. These FC still are ignorant to the ways of the Shadow.

    LONG LIVE THE TRU WARRIOR.

    GO AND DIE WITH HONOR!

(Feel free to add moar info on the ways of the TRU WARRIOR if you have any)

Yeah that's grand and all. The other servers however have no pvp population.

Champion for example is pretty fucken dead.

    i16 - Open Beta

I find it grossly ironic, that the devs waited until elec armor was getting ported to heroes before they decided to add a heal to it. Guess we'll have to wait until next proliferation before they actually fix /EA.

    Old School?

If the OP is "old school" then I must be a dinosaur, been playing on and off since the game launched.

I know nothing about it - nothing. If anyone, anyone has any tips they wish they'd known, or habits they wish they'd gotten into, or just anything you can think of... please, let me know now.
It seems like you're cutting out the game to remove any sort of temptation of not studying or focusing on your school work. That's a decision that's entirely up to you but in all honesty you can do both if you really wanted to. It just comes down to prioritizing. My first semester of college I failed 2 classes. Not because I was playing Half Life 2 or CoV. It was because they were 8:00 AM classes and I hate waking up early. I also can't get to bed before midnight.. So what's my advice?

If you hate getting up early or suck at it, don't take early classes. Schedule something a little later so you can at least function. Second semester was better for me cause I took 10 AM classes so I was able to get more sleep.

If you're living on campus, don't eat too much of the cafeteria food, even if it's all you can eat. Trust me, you'll thank me in 4 years when you get out of school.

Some of your profs will think that their class is the only class you're taking and will assign a metric *** ton of homework. I'd suggest talking to some other students to see who the good profs are. Keyword here is "good", not the "easy" ones. Unless you don't plan on learning a damn thing, take the easy profs.

Again if you're living on campus, you'll have to learn to live with roommates. If it's your first semester you're going to have to hack it and hope you don't get a roommate that's some sort of doosh. You might get lucky, you might not. I was lucky my first semester and my roommate was super chill.

Living on campus - Get a cheap pair of shower slippers/flip flops. Unless you want athlete's foot, those trips to the community showers can be hazardous to your health.

But the main thing I wanna stress is prioritizing/time management. It wasn't until my 3rd year of college I was able to figure out how to do this effectively. I was taking 16 credits, working part time, practicing martial arts 3 times a week, working out, hanging out with friends, studying/doing homework, and still managed to play 2-3 hours of CoV/Planetside/popular-game-of-the-week several nights out of the week. And I still managed to finish that semester with a 3.5 GPA. Basically what it boils down to is how serious are you gonna take your education. A lot of students I saw were just there cause they were coming out of high school and they didn't wanna just sit at home or their parents forced them to go to school. If you really wanna go somewhere, do it. Take it seriously, but not too seriously. Try to find some time to relax, unwind, have some fun and shake things up so you don't get burned out. You also don't wanna be one of those dudes who ONLY studies. I would definitely recommend trying to make friends. I walked away from college with some of best friends one can make. And I'm happy to say they're gonna be life long friends. I still talk to a lot of them on a weekly basis, even though all of us don't live in the residence halls anymore and most of them live in different parts of the country.

But yeah, that's all the advice a washed up 3 year college drop out can give.

    Awkward?

    I disagree.

It's ******* stupid as hell. That's what it is.
  18. Well hey at least it's better than the normal "zomg nerf stalkers" posts I've seen.
  19. Before i13, pvp on Champion wasn't anywhere near Freedom levels, but it was active enough that you could get the same 8-12 guys on any given night to either smash each other in the arena or in the zone. It was a pretty small community and everyone basically knew each other.

Thanks again for I13, I haven't seen a lot of my old buddies in almost a year =(

Stalker - Shields or fire melee

    [/ QUOTE ]
Shields doesn't mesh with most stalkers sets or the stalker theme. Fire melee functionally double but breaks theme since how stealthy is a man on fire?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Where there's fire, there's smoke...and smoke hides just as well as being invisible. I could easily see a Fiery Melee or Fiery Aura Stalker work. Especially if Placate and Hide involved vanishing into a swirling mass of smoke and embers, and then reappearing in a sudden blazing flash when you strike, like a backdraft.

That could be pretty darn cool.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which is one of the many reasons fire melee/fire aura would've been infinitely better than Broadsword.
