I wanted to stop in and thank you all for your input. The last build I posted on here last night, is the build I am going to use. I have already done a respec and had many of the crafted IO's already in my base from my other toons. I think it (the build) should work well for me since I intend to play as a 50.
Thanks again for the words of advice. I'm sure when I find another tank I enjoy, I'll be back here. And right now it looks like it might be my Dark/Fire or my Ice/Fire. Yes, I have an attachment to the /Fire component for almost every AT. lol -

I also just looked at my totals again, and I am soft capped to S/L. That has to be good! lol I can be a bit of a perfectionist, hence the easy frustration when I just cannot grasp something easily. Thanks for your patience, though!

Here is another try. I think LR is fine where it is. Especially since I will never be exemping down, ya know? I have no idea where I could even fit in an APP now... Laser beam eyes was thematic, but I don't really need it. I wouldn't know what to even sacrafice for it, to be honest with you. I think I'm okay without it. Changed a little of the slotting on maybe 3 or 4 things.
edit: Read another reply and I am getting frustrated with this...hence why I usually don't go all out with builds like this. I'm a couple of ticks away from the softcap on a couple of things...not sure what else to do.
Would any of you mind posting your own builds? Again, I plan to never exemp down so I don't really need an exemp build.

I actually have an Elec/Shield scrap that can farm X8 +4 pretty easily, so influence is not an issue.
I am almost right at the softcap for a couple of things, isn't that what I want to shoot for usually? Not being sarcastic, seriously asking. I don't usually slot with sets like this. I've only ever done it twice before now, and the first build was a frankenslot.
Like I told Max, I do not plan to exemp. I have already done Posi and have no need to run it again. The lowest I'll be exemping down anytime soon will be for a Manti and Numi. After that, I honestly am not planning to ever exemp down again. -
I mainly took the APP for themeatic reasons. She is 'cybernetic' after all. I don't plan to exemp down more than a few more times max. I only have two more TF's to do before I earn the TFC accolade and after that, I probably won't be exemping down. I actually tend to shy away from hasten. I like it on some toons, but I don't like how many people make hasten seem nearly mandatory.
Yeah, I wanted incenerate and BU (have them now), but I couldn't make them fit. I admit that I have a terrible time with mids and number crunching - especially with building tanks.
I'll tweak the build slightly and repost later this evening. Thanks for the comments!

I went with Elec/Fire. Was the only tank (in 5 years) that I have honestly enjoyed and have taken to 50. I know a few people who have also played that combo and loved it.

If you want a quiet server, I think Triumph or Liberty would fit the bill pretty nicely. Justice is pretty active and has a great channel full of people willing to help out (Justice United).
I would avoid Virtue. Everytime I go over there and need to go through D, I catch a lot of ERPing going on. Nothing your sis should be exposed to, IMO.

I don't believe that you can. When I loaded into the game once I17 hit, I received a pop up at the loading screen. It gave me 2 choices. One was Ultra Settings and the other was Quality Settings. It said that QS were still ultra settings but lower quality of them or something to that effect.
You can lower some things in options, but I don't think you can completely get rid of it. -
I ran into Mercedes Lackey a couple years ago. Had to look the name up when she said she was an author. Nope, hadn't heard of her before. Haven't seen her on in a while.

Correct. My husband and I (using as an example) did not pre-purchase, and DP and DS are greyed out and completely unselectable to create.

I am honestly not having any issues at all, and I've been on the game for about 12 hours total since it has been released. I also do not have a high end gaming rig nor do I have the latest graphics card. My husband has not had any problems, either. The same can be said to those I was gaming with last night.

I don't think I have ever seen the servers come back up when they say they will (in terms of a new issue relase.) They always go past them by 1 - 2 hours. I would say 1EST at the earliest for logging in. 3EST at the latest.

Here's a question to pass the time: When I patched and got to the splash screen, I got a pop up that took up my whole screen asking about Ultra mode. My husband did not get that pop up. His card isn't *that* much better than mine. =P

Just shout out in the global channels JFA2010 and Justice United and people will likely step up. The last cavern trial I ran on Justice (my home server), was finished in right around 13 minutes. Its quick and painless with a stealth/TPer at the party. My husband and I have toons that need it, so we'd join you if we were on.

JFA2010 and Justice United. They have their quiet times, but usually its lots of TF's or offers to team. I throw out offers to team almost daily.

Why do you want to lvl to 50 in a week? There is no end game. Well, not until Going Rogue, and that is a paid expansion. In any case, the only way you are getting from 1 - 50 in a week is through PLing.
What server are you on? It may seem like there is no one out there, but missions are instanced, so you won't see many people wandering around. There's also many ways to get around now including the oro portal, base teleporters, WW teleporters, mission teleporters...etc... So you really won't see a ton of people on the street. Sometimes you will have to form your own teams. Most servers have active global channels where you can find teams easily most of the time.
I play mainly on Justice and with the 2 global channels I am on, its hardley ever quiet. We do have quiet days where it seems like nothing is going on, but for the most part it is quite active. There were tons of TF's/teaming going on all day and night yesterday. It seemed like everytime I turned around there was something being started. Justice or not, see about joining a global channel for your server and see if that helps any.
Edit - Ok, I see you're on Freedom. That is the server with the highest population next to Virtue. There should never be an issue finding a team there. Definitely get plugged in with a good global chat channel. -
How were you running it? You can get it done in 45minutes - 1.5 hours these days. A stealth/TPer and a tiny team makes for a fast Posi. At least, it does over on Justice where someone seems to be running it daily.
