  1. Pets do amazingly well fighting while in flight.

Just don't expect to use Group Fly as a Travel Power with pets since they'll drop out of it.

  3. I got on Virtue last night. Announced in 2 global channels I was starting a STF (which is the WST). And in 3 minutes we were starting it.

The latter. The speed buff never happened. History has been altered.

Im hoping my subscription wont go up passed the $15 each month per account. I dont think I want the free premium and I wont mind paying the $15 per month. I just hope things dont go bad for this new direction for COH/COV. They did it right many years ago where the other super hero MMO's of late have sucked totally.
Subs will stay $15/mo. and make your accounts VIP status.

If you're staying subbed, GR will come free... don't know about Incarnate status. If you don't buy GR and that account drops down to Premium, you'll lose access to GR.

It's possibly the name conflicts could become a non-issue at some point in the future, but I don't imagine that there will ever be away to move a character from server X to server Y but still keep them in the roster of a SG on server X.
You can make dummy characters to hold the name. Just delete and remake them as you move.

I don't understand why they're in Ouro. Or why they're people. Or why they aren't just another tab in the incarnate window. But if they have to be people, I vastly prefer these outfits. Even if they do make the issue of the missing glove overlay flare up a bit.

Now I just have to hope that they'll let us make over Apex to look more like Apex.
Well, here are pics of the originals and my suggestions here.

The picked up Michael exactly. With Christy, thy kept the pink hair and took away the radiance aura (I guess because only Michael sells the radiance aura).

Whether one thinks they are more or less aesthetically pleasing, at least Christy is no longer dressed like Ouroboros's cocktail waitress and they are modeling the new pieces that they're selling.
  11. Oh. You want to be nice. Ok then: Freek Friend.
  12. It's been announced as September 31st!

They're all global with the exception of the Ascension Armor Set which is global and limited to only your level 50 toons.

Global pieces disappear from the menu when you purchase them.

What is not global is the early-unlock for capes and auras so that they would be accessible at level 1 on an alt instead of levels 20 and 30.

“The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner.

‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’

“But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ Mt 20:9-15
  16. Powersets for sale for VIPs?

Well, that would be OK if you get enough 400pts/mo to cover the cost. In that case, Powersets are free.

What? You spent all your 400pts/mo on emotes? Well, then, you will have to pay real money for the Powersets.

There will be more *stuff* than free 400pts/mo can buy. If you can prioritize and be disciplined, you'll get what you want 'for free.'

If you got to have it all, you pay for it.

They have definitely affirmed that there will be bundled pricing as well as individual a la carte.

In other words, I understand the store replaces Super Boosters but does it also replace the "free" costume sets, powers etc. that would be released as Issues.
For VIP members there will still be free costumes in 'issues.' E.g., I21 has two new costumes free to Veeps.

But there will probably also be special purchasable ones, too for Veeps.

I guess the thing throwing me off here is the phrase "active billing day" as I am only billed once every 6 months.

EDIT: Looking at this more closely, it looks like the last point would apply in the case I mentioned above (For the months following, as long as you have an active account during that “month” (i.e. August, September, etc), your account will be credited with 400 Paragon Points for each month leading up to City of Heroes Freedom Launch), however all the references to having an "active billing day" in July are again, making it look like I actually have to be billed during the month of july to kick this off.
Everyone gets billed every month. If you have a credit card on file, it is automatically hit up for billing the next month.

If you paid a year in advance, every month you are billed against the escrow of your advance payment.

Otherwise, full-year subscribers would have a hard time getting their Vet Rewards.

You know, I never bought the Party Pack because I didn't think a dollar an emote was worth it. I would have happily paid half price. And here it is at half price. I like that.

    • From July 1st, 2011 until City of Heroes Freedom launch, *ALL* paying customers that have an active billing “day” within the month will receive 400 Paragon Points. (Please note Trial Accounts do not receive this benefit).
    For example:
    • If you renew or start a regular game (non-Trial) account on July 1st, you will receive 400 Paragon Points for the month of July.
    • If you renew or start a regular game (non-Trial) account on July 31st, you will receive 400 Paragon Points for the month of July..
    • If your Subscription ends on July 2nd, and you choose to NOT reactivate your subscription, you will receive 400 Paragon Points for the month of July when City of Heroes: Freedom launches.
    • For the months following, as long as you have an active account during that “month” (i.e. August, September, etc), your account will be credited with 400 Paragon Points for each month leading up to City of Heroes Freedom Launch.
So, a new player can sub up for a month on July 15 and let it expire on August 15 and get 800 points for having a subscribed day in both July and August.

And then resubscribe for just one month on Sept 15, Nov 15, Jan 15, Mar 15, and May 15.

They wind up paying for 6 months and for those 6 months they are VIPs. And during the 6 months they are not subscribed, they are Premium.

And even though they only paid for 6 months, they get 12 months worth of 400 point rewards.

    Is that correct?

EDIT: I see I was mistaken: It's only July in which being an active subscriber for part of the month counts as for the full month. It seems, starting in August, you'll need to be active for the whole month to get the 400 points.

    Uhhhhhh.....

Why would multi-month pre-pays work differently except to front load all their 400/month points which should be obviously a Bad Idea in a variety of ways?

It is true that newbies who subscribe and have never paid explicitly for a GR code will get GR automatically in their VIP account.

However, if such folk drop to Premium, then they lose GR and will have to pay extra for it.

You, on the other hand, who paid for a GR code, will continue to have GR if you drop to Premium level.
