It's the "Sinister" pattern, and I know it came with the GvE edition, but am not sure if by now others can access it.
-
You mean the Crey one that you get from the accolade? It's not that great, but it's better than nothing.
-
We don't know, but it seems like the store and any extra slots past the base 12 are linked. So as soon as the store comes back up, you'll get your slots back.
-
I believe that the -speed penalties of both Rooted and Granite have been set to be unresistable, but I could be wrong on that.
-
No, slow movement resistance isn't like mez resistance. It's a straight up resistance to the effect.
So, with 50% Resistance to Slow Movement, you'd suffer only half of the speed loss.
Mezz resistance is where it lowers the duration. Most other resistances are just straight up effect resistance values. -
Quote:Above your power bars, click on the Powers button. When they appear, there should be a button up at the top called "Combat Attributes". Click that.I know this has been asked & answered but I wasn't having luck. I occasionally see a UI screenshot which includes a little box as a permanent part of the UI giving the current percentages for melee defense, ranged defense etc. I think it's only about five lines. Coming the options hasn't helped me find it. Anyone know how to bring it up? Thanks plenty.
It'll bring up a window of various drop down tabs. In those, you can find all of the various statistics for your character. Clicking on one will bring up a box of options, one of which is "Monitor this Attribute" or something like that. Clicking on that will bring up the box you've seen, and you can put whatever attributes you want to monitor in that. -
As soon as the store comes back up, your character slots will open again. For some reason, any slots beyond the starting 12 you have normally are tied to the store. So when the store is down, so are these slots.
Hopefully next time they can detach these things, but for now they are tied. Your slots should come back when the store comes back online. -
This thread did not need to be necro'd, and it's pretty pointless now.
Err... .xls -
Plus, some new skeletons I'd like to see:
Female Huge
Male Beastial (low-hanging arms, runs on all fours)
Female Beastial (same)
Male and Female Snake Hybrids (wouldn't allow for Martial Arts to be taken, or would force the hitting animations)
Plus, some quadruped skeletons would be nice. But I'm not holding my breath on any of these. -
Quote:The problem is is that you can't decouple these things. You can't just take a look at solo performance, and neglect to balance things for a team. If you do that, Defenders and Controllers will be the only people ever to be invited to a team, because they'd bring significantly more to the team than a similar Tanker, Scrapper, or Blaster could, because they'd have been buffed so much to make them better soloers that they'd blow everything else out of the water on teams.
I seen many good posts, and yet I see many post having difficulty de-coupling group performance versus solo performance. I am really not addressing group performance, for the AT mix of abilities do work well. That it could be imrpoved, obviously, is it really needed? Not really.
So you can't just say that you're going to boost solo performance, and leave teaming performance alone. The powers don't work that way. -
Well, the name change has yet to occur, so it's still up in the air.
Potential names from this list (and one from the wiki page that DumpleBerry gave me):
Deathsting
Razor Wasp
Hymenoptera
Depending on if any of those are taken, I may be back to check some of the others. Thanks for all the help, everyone! -
I can only answer your first question with certainty, and that is that you can indeed do a Stone Armor/Dual Blades Tanker.
I'd imagine that the animations are the same in Granite as outside of it, having the big stone beast whirl and twirl, but I can't say for sure. -
Remember to turn off any armors that aren't needed, and try not to overkill things at low levels, before you get the endurance management tools. What I mean is don't use Stone Hammer if Stone Fists will kill the enemy. Trade a little green bar for blue if you're in a bad situation in regards to endurance. Slow down on the attacking, and only use the attacks you need to take down the enemy.

Quote:I have done that mission solo before, and on teams where we've gone to the portal, and split up from there, while leaving nobody at the portal. We still succeeded, because we were all keeping an eye on the paths to the portal, and nobody was on boring guard duty. Once you figure out what's going on, it's easy enough to break away from the portal.Isn't that that mission where you have to stop Fir Bolg patrols from reaching some Stone Henge WHILE ALSO being a Defeat All mission, making it utterly impossible to solo it and a potentially huge pain on large teams because it necessitates team-splitting and therefore dealing with unproportionally large mobs? And to top it, half your team is stuck with the exciting duty of standing bloody guard at one location? Because I doubt even a mission objective written in coherent English can save that piece of crap of a mission.
Unique is nice and all, but not if it cripples teams and unexpectantly makes soloing impossible. Oh, sure, your contact tells you should get a team together, but I've solo'ed so many down-scaled AVs that at that point I, and I expect many other solo-minded players, dismiss those lines as polite suggestions.
Cliché as it is by that point, making it a timed mission, stating that the ceremony will be complete in X minutes is about the only way to make that mission playable for people who don't bother to put together above average teams to deal with having split up, or people who don't actually like standing guard while others get the action.
It's quite depressing, really. The devs try really hard to make new and unique and exciting things to hook you back to the game, but every so often, they just end up paving paths with their intentions. -
Quote:Praetoria, not Cimerora. He's talking about the Going Rogue expansion area.As it's in the past on our world, I think they're ancestors rather than mirrors - so not every signature hero or villain would have had an ancestor in the Cimerora area
Also, this might not be the same guy, but please don't feed the X. -
Steve, since your question was answered, I'll just say this: welcome to the game and to the forums!

Thanks for all the help, everyone! Definitely got a few names to try when I get home.

Brewha is not 9 years old. On the old forums, he had links to pictures of himself (or somebody else posted them). He's a 20-something male, who should know how to at least basically flesh out an idea.
Some of us sometimes know exactly who we're talking to. It doesn't mean we should abjectly flame them, but when someone who has been on here for as long as they have, and when they've been told to flesh out ideas and think them through as many times as brewha has, I expect them to learn from those experiences. When they don't, civility will only go so far. -
Is it bad that about halfway through, all I could think of was: "Yeah, well that badass just gave half his paycheck to orphans. Orphans with diseases."
But I like it. It's mostly a fluff thing, but it would be kinda cool to have a way for the citizens to react to you differently. -

Quote:I just need to cook up some RP reason my badge-hunter hero would go rogue. Nothing like doubling up on Accolades!
Boy I hope they thought of that...sounds a tad game-breaking doesn't it?
From the announcements and interviews I've seen, it seems like the accolades will just change names, but the other badges will stay the same. Or, they'll give you both accolades, but only allow the accolade power once. -
Quote:Vespine- from the dictionary, "Of, relating to, or resembling a wasp."
Or try Killer Bee or Queen Bee if your character is female.
Vespine is a good one (I also liked Deathsting above).
Killer Bee and Queen Bee are both taken on my server. I'd imagine that Deathsting will be as well, but I'll give it a shot.
