Confused Again

I thought I understood status effects until I started looking into slow effects and now I'm confused again. Slow effects have no protection just resistance so how does that work with a PBAoE toggle? For example, I'm a scrapper fighting something (sorry not knowledgable enough to know what crit might have this) that has arctic air active. The whole time I'm fighting this crit I'm in the area of effect, because I'm melee, so how am I effected if I have some slow resistance (say 50% or so). Does the resistance help at all? If I understand correctly, it seems like slow resistance would only help with something that has a duration, like chilblain, is that correct?

No, slow movement resistance isn't like mez resistance. It's a straight up resistance to the effect.

So, with 50% Resistance to Slow Movement, you'd suffer only half of the speed loss.

Mezz resistance is where it lowers the duration. Most other resistances are just straight up effect resistance values.

Slow is not a status effect, its a debuff.
