Like having a thread talking about Candyland getting you hooked on gaming, which brought you to this game, will make everyone that reads it rush off and play hours upon hours of board games instead of this one.
Good way to totally mischaracterize the intent of the rules. Do you have a degree in Straw Man?
  2. Hello, Zwillinger and crew!

As you spiffy up the forums and color-code things, please take a look at this post.

It lists colors that generally go well with the blue and red skins of the forums. Otherwise, you might do something odd, like make a poster title "blue" like this:

    Thanks for your consideration!

Which Zwill said they weren't going to do, so what is it you're going on about again?

The LockedOption part is *code*. It tells the popmenu configurator to display those options as greyed out if the character does not own the parameter in the {}. If you removed it, it would show up non-greyed and fool you into thinking it's unlocked and you would click it and nothing would happen and all the invisible folk standing behind you would point at you and smirk.

Why not find a happy middle ground: Professional, proof-read, delivered messages designed to increase social awareness without imposing on the players.

It's not a big deal. Just makes me think Zwill DGAF.
    Why so sad?
  7. In the meantime, use a limited Visa Gift Card or Debit Card.

These are also great ways to 'gift' points to others: you can just email them the serial number and PIN.
  8. The Negotiator one is bugged -- the contact went to the cornfield when Old Galaxy was removed.

The others not opening is something I experienced and a few others have reported which cleared up on it's own. There may be some sort of problem with the 'flashback server' if such a thing exists. Try again later.
  9. Three, and just three, Police Scanner missions in Kings Row at level 5 will lead to a Safeguard which will reconnect one to the Legacy Arc contact chains.

You can talk to Wincott in the Hollows at level 5 for the Hollows arc chain.

You can talk to Tremblor in Faultline at level 15 for the Faultline arc chain.
  10. I agree. All the character-specific in-game costume and weapon unlocks should become account-wide store-bought costume pieces. This includes Witch's hat, Roman set, Rularuu weapons, Astral/Empyrean pieces, etc...

Before any player or Dev can object, let it be know the precedent has been set: The Vanguard set is in the Store. The level 20 capes and level 30 auras are in the Store. These were in-game locked by level and content, but are now purchasable account-wide. Put 'em all in there, please.

Perhaps then it would be a good idea for folks, if they need no reply, to start putting in their PMs, "Needs no reply."

    This post needs no reply.

  15. Total guess: There was a large scale disconnect and when everyone tried to log on at once, it was too much for the log-in server, and so, it set up a queue.

Unfortunately, no. The Devs are investigating including gifting in the game while, at the same time, not opening the door to making it easy for Real Money Traders.

That's not what I'm seeing. I'm seeing that the doors open right after a pulse.

I mean, no response to my whining about them during trials has been positive, and the stated reason for them doesn't really hold up, given that the most likely result of trying to regroup in the hospital would be getting trapped behind those sodding doors again.

The actual effect of the locking doors is 'get the hell out of the hospital as fast as you are physically able' and reactions ranging from annoyance to frothing hatred. Why is this irritating mechanic getting foisted on us still? It's not working as intended (if the stated reason is, in fact, the real reason, anyways), it's not fun, and at best it's aggravating.
I'll tell you 'why', but you probably still won't like it....

During the beta testing for the first iTrials, the Devs wanted there to be a real penalty for 'death'... not just immediately rushing into battle to overwhelm the foes.

First attempt was sending one back to the hospital where you zoned in from, e.g., Pocket D or Altas Park. We then pointed out that unduly penalized the slow loaders.

Then they put a field hospital right in the zone, but, to stop the rushing, they put a 1,000 mag stun on us for 10 seconds (or was it a hold for 20 seconds? doesn't matter at this point...). But you came out of the mez with little health and end... a real detriment for summoners and togglers.

Then they tried an Immobilize which allowed resummoning without re-entering until the Immob wore off. But, with the BAF, individuals rushing back in were being immediately picked off by the turrets.

So, they went with a hospital with a timed door so that those who 'died' came back in together in waves to get past the turrets. And that's why we have locked hospital doors. It's a death penalty. If you don't like it, then don't die.

It's also something very, very, very unlikely to be done away with. The designers were pretty adamant that there be some penalty for being defeated.... It's not like level 50s worry too much about debt.
  22. If anyone wants "to do the market a favor" how about getting rid of the back order of bids for Alchemical Silver? There's only about 13 thousand outstanding bids. Go ahead, even that out.
