Plus... if NCSoft is indeed being as big of a idiotic company as they seem to be, I'm not sure I want any other dev team in charge of the City. In my opinion, I would rather they shut down the servers on a high note rather than have it morph into something different of which I am not fan.
That said...
DON'T SHUT DOWN THE SERVERS!!!
Unless you announce CoX2 tomorrow <_< >_>....

Typical NCSoft. I'm surprised! Shocked! and yet.. not all that surprised at all! >.< I was going to buy Guild Wars 2, but it seems they waited for GW2 to come out before announcing this. The probability that they will get any of my money ever again (after Tabula Rasa and now this) is about ZERO PERCENT!

For a while now I have been fearing this would happen. The game has indeed been slowly fading away, servers emptier, profit reports smaller... and NCSoft has given a track record already killing games that don't perform properly.
Wish this was SOE... how many years has EverQuest been running now?
I don't think NCsoft would sell anyone the IP rights sadly... I think we're doomed. And I thought the game/market was still doing well after all these years.
I just can't believe it.
Be a good time for Marvel to pick up a real MMO.

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.

Not SOE or EA, but it would be great if someone picked up CoX.
I just don't see it happening, and I don't see a sequel.
