Really? Up until the end I actually kind of liked the first Silent Hill. More creepy than anything else up until the end.
I actually didn't realize they were so close to releasing another film until just the other week when I read an article about it. Apparently most of the monsters in the movie use practical effects over cgi. I don't know about you, but I generally prefer that in movies.
Anyhoo, the trailer looks good, though it makes it look like a bit more of an action storyline is going on.

It Has Heather, Douglas, Vincent and Claudia as the main characters. I'm sold on that alone.

That said, I liked the first one regardless of that and this one seems to be cast in the same mold (hopefully not just pointless copying though). I may have to try and see this.
I have to say I am looking forward to this. I've come to really enjoy the first film and I hope this one is as good or better. (Or at least better then the Resident Evil films.)
Looks very cool to me. Never played any of the games, but quie enjoyed the first one.
Looks like it's based off of Silent Hill 3, but the whole trailer is giving off this pop generation horror vibe to me. I really liked the first movie and hopefully this one will be as good or even better as the first.

I don't think I really understood what they were trying to say with the ending in the first one.
Are they dead and don't know it or stuck in an alternate reality?
I believe for the end of the first Silent Hill movie Rose and Sharon are either stuck or they chose to stay in the Silent Hill reality. While Chris remains in the normal world. So makes me wonder if some how Chris managed to get back into Silent Hill and get Sharon back, or stumbles upon another Silent Hill child and raised her as his own.

If they keep the concept and or atmosphere similar to the first it will be good.
