Quote:WoW! They make that much an hour?!Maybe there is fault to be had on both sides, but I think management deserves the lion's share. The average baker's salary at Hostess was $36,300, which works out to $17.45 an hour.
I have been working working in the armored car industry for 18 years where I risk my life constantly on a daily basis and I make less than that an hour.
Who do I complain to that a baker makes more than me? -

Tip of the Day When doing dungeons, remember that there are lore objects that can only be found in the dungeons. You can look them up in game to see which ones you have. Some are tricksy as in Polaris, you only get the lore object if you activate the zombie that is lying on the ground like a body and then kill it. Another one requires you to enter in a code to activate a drone that leads you to the lore object. Think outside the box.
-
Well for the most part you don't "need" a team for most of Kingsmouth unless you wander into the wrong part of the airport. You will see teams being formed for Polaris.
Tip for the day: Global chat and LFG chat is across servers. There is really only one server. The 'server' you are on is your home dimension and you can cross to another one if you join a team that is on a different one from you. You will go back to your dimension when you leave that group and zone or log out. -
Quote:Even with my system that by far outstrips the recommended requirements, I can't run it using DX11. There is something about the game that hates my system using DX11. DX9 is fine though. While working from home today, I tried out The Secret World. Well, saying I tried it may be a bit of a stretch. Before I logged in, the game recommended updating my video drivers, which I did. Then I got in fine, but there is like a 10 minute opening cinematic, during which I crashed twice.
I just tried a third time. This time, I made it halfway to the initial waypoint before the crash.
Don't know what the issue is - These are the most updated drivers that NVIDIA has to offer. I see there is a patch schedule for the game tomorrow; I'll see if that helps, otherwise, I guess that's all of the chance I'll be able to give the game.
Tip For The Day: In case you don't know, you can click on an NPC's conversation boxes multiple times until you get a green checkmark to get the full dialog. -
Quote:In the first hell dungeon, we got to the last boss and wiped a few times trying to figure out the different mechanics and it ended up with everyone dead and me chipping away at the last third of its health for the win. I felt epic.Hi Guys,
my main alt over yonder on TWS is now working in the "Scorched Desert" zone having left the Savage Coast.
I have been sooooo close to rage quitting the game at least a half a dozen times now.
But I am still chipping away and learning (which does not equate to getting better!) at it. I have completed all the previous zones content at least once.
As a new game, there are most definately parts of the game such as foe difficulty at certain character levels, that as still mismatched but I understand are being addressed by the Dev's.
Some of the game is still a mystery like when running a Dungeon and get killed/one shotted you are out of the run till it ends. Locked inside the resurection circle unable to participate.
This leads to the stupid situation on many teams after one member dies (especially if it is the squishy healer or the tank) of all the others commiting suicide and the whole team having to restart the whole run.
If this happens a couple of times, even if it is different members getting caught, you usually just get team breakup. Very frustrating. The game design as it is requires a perfect run every time. Just like our Masters of badge runs.
It can get very grindy and some missions seem a bit lazy in design when you get a mission tier that requires 4 or 5 different "Kill x number of Y foes" to complete. Very WoW like.
Some missions are given at the wrong level such as the faction mish to unlock a special weapon at level 6. It is way to difficult to complete with ql6 gear but it unlocks from your xp earnings not your alt level.
You end up just abandoning them till you kind of outlevel them.
Some missions, like one with a chainsaw, are just an exercise in frustration and best left well alone.
But I try to remember that this is still a new game with a large element of "Works in Progress" about it and I think that given time it will get sorted and be a cracking piece of work.
I do not know if it will hold my interest enough to go back and repeat the early content especially using the same alt albeit to get new power abilities. A puzzle mission is only a puzzle on the first run and I see a lot of higher level players just grinding purple gear runs in the travel hub. Am not a great farmer here, so no way over there for me.
Just approach it with an open mind and a culture shock realisation that CoH it is not and you will have an interesting adventure.
Just for the record I have had some lol moments at dialogue and NPC actions and hidden references when they kick off. And it have made me scratch the head during puzzle quests which is nice.
Curates Egg, good bits and bad bits but definately worth the journey (so far).
Cheers

How did they explain that whatever shut down all electricity didn't affect those bio-electrical things on the planet? You know the ones made mostly of meat and water, but depend on a small electrical current that runs through their body.

I only read Wonder Woman and Justice League, but so far I like them. I like how Aquaman is presented in the Justice League comic so I might see how his comic is. I do like the take on Wonder Woman in her comic. They didn't exactly reboot her as tell her, "Hey! Everything we have been telling you about your origin was a lie!"

I would rather have the computer do it.
Officer: "Can you tell me what happened?"
Me: "Don't ask me! Ask the computer, it was driving." -
NCSOFT is the EA of the east. If I hadn't already bought GW2, I probably wouldn't.
It doesn't make sense that they would do this. It seemed the CoH was making more money since it went FTP than it did when it was subscription only. They certainly were putting out more content. -
Oh gee! The one accent in the world that must have been designed to make people cringe.
-
I don't think I really understood what they were trying to say with the ending in the first one.
Are they dead and don't know it or stuck in an alternate reality? -
Quote:I loved Kindergarten Cop.I found Arnold Swartzwhatever filled comedy roles better than action roles.
I haven't seen the movie yet. I probably won't until it is out on DVD. I always feel a little uneasy about movies that are remakes of movies that I watched myself.
Cute kids + Ahnuld = WIN! -
Darn! I was hoping that at the end we find out that he never left the chair in Recall and it was all part of his fantasy package.
I know Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale together would be part of mine. -
If I was interested in making an old type of person, I would make......

OK. That explains the log-in issue, but not why I was on the Exalted forum instead of this one when I logged back in.
Maybe it is something that happens when the cookie expires and is deleted. -
I am having two problems .
1. Can't stay logged in. I can tell it to remember me, but apparently the forums have Alzheimers.
2. I use multiple tabs that I keep up for websites that I visits daily. That way when I restart firefox, it opens up all the tabs that I had up when I closed it. The problem with this forum and only this one, is that I may end up in an area that I did not log out on.. I could log out with the tab open to this area and restart firefox and the tab would be open to a server forum.
I have nuked and paved recently to clean my system, so any bugs I may have had would be gone and this was happening before then so I am pretty sure it is not that.
I am at a loss as to why only this forum does that. It also does it on my other computer, but again only with this forum. Since nothing is changed in game or nothing like that, I am pretty sure my account isn't hacked.
Ideas? -
It was his show and others like it that came out in the late 70's early 80's, is one of the main reasons why I think I am not racist. To which I say:
Thank you sir for helping me not be an idiot.

Probably the Dowd from Star Trek.
He killed an entire species just by thinking of it. -
I am beginning to think he is confusing Olivia Munn with Felicia Day. I could believe the stuff he said if it was about Olivia.

With people's over inflated sense of self, they tend to think that freedom of speech is freedom from repercussions. It does not work that way. All freedom of speech does is say that the government cannot take action against you (with exceptions) for what you say and that's it.
We are not the government. The public can and will take action and if your job depends on public goodwill then you best bet will always be STFU and think about what you are about to do or say first.
Heard from the Dixie Chicks lately? They learned first hand that they can literally talk themselves out of a career. -
I think one or both things will happen. They have been leading up to a personality change in Pam for a while now and these flashbacks show why it will happen. I think she will take Tara under her wing and start to act as her maker.
If she doesn't and maybe even if she does, Tara will end up joining Russell and showing the world what monsters vampires are especially since they have made her the very thing she hates. What better way to have them destroyed? -
I hopw they are going to put her in the rest of the costume as is.
