Any new tidbits from the coffee talk?

"Brutally honest"...
You read it here first! Primalist shapeshifter Epic archetype coming to CoH in I24.

The other powerset must be Psychic melee. I cant wait to see it.
Cant get enough of melee powersets. And I bet those are the best sellers.
An update for Psionic assault would be so cool!

Also I cant wait for the I24 overview. Im holding my Water blaster till I see if blaster will get a natural secondary with martial arts attacks.
You devs are fixing blasters:
Well they have 13 primaries and 7 secondaries, non of them for non elemental/ tech /or psionic characters.
Please fix that and give blasters a martial arts secondary. With the new regen/recovery buffs coming makes more sense than ever.

Based on precedent, I'd expect it some time very close to the next double XP weekend.

They seem to be kicking out issues on a 3-4 month schedule, giving it 2-3 months in beta. 23 dropped at the dead end of May. I wouldn't be surprised if 24 beta hits in a week or two and will probably hit live like Octoberish.

That's all just conjecture though, but that just seems to be the rough timeline since Issue 21, 21.5, 22 and 23.

Perhaps it will be clearer if we tell you to think of the dimension most of the game happens in

Emperor Cole is from Praetorian Earth; Reichsman is from Axis Earth; Battle Maiden is from War Earth; Statesman is from ...?

PS: Pet peeve: we live in three dimensions. We don't live in "the third dimension".

PPS: We technically don't live in three dimensions (see: physics), but it's close enough for everyday purposes.

I swear, if this game devolves into anything related to MLP/brony stuff, I'm gone after being here 8+ years.

Well, he said AT's, so unless he's talking about something belonging to an archetype ( /grammar nazi), I must assume that that is plural.

Given that we only "know" of one AT, then technically it would be correct. They wouldn't be working on archetypeS, as there aren't two or more of them.

Or it really could be shelves/scrapped, which I would be very disappointed about.

Technically we live in an undetermined number of dimensions even if you don't count time for that purpose. One theory even proposes that the universe as we perceive is a holographic projection* of two actual dimensions. And Loop Quantum Gravity works with three-space and doesn't require the various bundles of twisted-up micro-dimensions of String Theory. So we might live in three-dimensional projection of a two-dimensional universe, a three-dimensional universe, or a universe with n dimensions where n is whatever number is required to make the currently popular version of the theory not fall apart. In any event we live in the third dimension about as much as the others depending on the order you number them in.

*i suppose technically it's the illusion of a three-dimensional universe formed from interference patterns of the actual two-dimensional universe. Eh, whatever.

I wrote up a reply to this, but despite editing it kept coming across as far more harsh and condescending than I intended (and it kept getting longer and longer and longer as I tried to make that clear), so I'll skip it, and just post this instead.

I know a CCM in real life, and know that she is seriously constrained on what she is allowed to tell the players. I'm sure you're in the same situation, having to stand between the players salivating for more information and the Legal team standing there with stern looks on their faces going "NO".

The main part of it is that I really do like to see the whole creative process at work. I like to hear about the half-formed ideas that may never come to fruition just as much as (if not more than) the stuff that's been officially announced. So when leaks happen, it's frustrating to have them just not be acknowledged at all, though I'm well aware of why.

So I'm just hoping we'll learn about the "Rhymalist" leak in due time, even if it was abandoned or canceled. I'd really rather hear an in-depth discussion about why a powerset idea didn't work than about a fancy new mouse.

It was guessed and sort-of supported by a comment by Synapse.

I really should do something about this signature.

Noooo argument there.

Not that a number of the Paragon guys aren't cute.

True.

Especially when Hawk gets embarrassed when folks tell him that he's cute. It's hilarious.

It's the wavy hair. And that blush.
