Website access to Master Account broken.

The NCsoft master account page is NOT WORKING for my City of Heroes account:

https://login.ncsoft.com/login/loginform

I've tried:
Accessing with my master account name/password. Result: FAILED.
Accessing with my email account on file/password. Result: FAILED.
Accessing with my account in-game. Result: PASS.

As I mainly do my account stuff outside of the game, I'm sad at this loss of functionality.

I got in fine just now with both my accounts.

I got in fine with my main account. Haven't tried with my other account. Will let you know if that one works.

EDIT: Got in with no problems on my second account.

Dunno what to tell you.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Snow Globe,

Check to see that you have the most current security certificate for the NCSoft login page -- some folks have been reporting that they can't even get to the page because the certificate appears to have changed as a result of the login page changes.

If you're in Firefox, while on the login page select Tools -> Page Info and go to the Security tab. This will let you view the security certificate and install it in the browser if needed.

Let us know if this helps,

Well, they seem to be aware there is a problem for some users:

I mainly use Google Chrome these days and I'm not getting a warning unless I try to go to secure.plaync.com

Do any of you have Aion or Lineage accounts? I don't.

Neither.

This is hitting me too, it claims it doesn't even have my email addie in the database.

I found I was having the same problem with Firefox...it kept telling me that my username and/or password was incorrect. I gave it a try in IE, and it works. Anyone else that's using a different browser tried IE yet? I know it's not convenient, but as a short-term solution, it worked for me.

I'm testing now, but this just came up:

Migrate Your Game Accounts

It seems there's something going on with Aion and Lineage2.

Beyond that, let me in fine with my CoX login info.

Nope, IE not working either, but IE 9 is giving me an error:

I got in just fine on Chrome. I purchased Paragon Points successfully as well.

I do have the certificate issue on Firefox, though

Thank you, Champion.

That was the reason, or at least one of the reasons, for the extended downtime of the PlayNC site yesterday.

They are splitting the Lineage2 and Aion accounts off into a separate system.

It's apparently had some unintended consequences like the SSL certificate errors and the problem Snow Globe is having.

The NC Soft website isn't giving me the 'untrusted' error anymore but it's not recognizing my log in credentials for either of my 2 master accounts. Running Firefox 13.1.

I've never had a Lineage II or Aion account though. It will probably take a couple days or so, but I'm sure they'll figure it out. With a major change such as this, migrating Aion and Lineage II to separate master accounts for people, it tends to screw stuff up for a while.

Try disabling all of your extensions in Firefox and see if you can get access to the site.

Some people were reporting problems with extensions keeping them out.

If nothing else, it's worth a try.

Well, looks like the problem for me was NoScript. Specifically, I had to allow iesnare.com to even be able to log in. However, it still doesn't like the migration page. Everything on that page has been allowed, but it still doesn't like the javascript redirect function. When I turn off NoScript entirely, it works. It's probably something to do with the cross-site scripting options. Unfortunately, I don't have time tonight to try to get it working, though.

I tried disabling all my chrome extensions. No dice. It is as if the website version has incorrectly lost my account info while it is still available in-game.

Every browser I've used has failed to log into the site. Again, I can log in to the account in-game, so I know I'm using the correct account & password.

Same with me. I can't log into the website but I CAN log into my master account through the Paragon Market in the game. I think I'm going to send in a support ticket about this. Luckily I don't need to purchase Paragon Points right now but if I wanted to I wouldn't do it. I prefer to buy points for the game ONLY through my master account on the NC Soft website and not through the Paragon Market.

Edit: I'd recommend filing a petition through the NC Soft support site instead of the CoH support site since this has to do with the NC Soft website and not the game per say. https://help.ncsoft.com/app/answers/list

Although, for me anyway, the log in credentials for both NC Soft support and CoH support is the same. I could file a petition for Guild Wars if needed and log into the CoH support site and see the GW ticket in the history list and vice versa.

Edit 2: That's strange. I thought the CoH support site was exclusive of the NC Soft support. For NC Soft you have to select a product from the drop down list (game, first list under the comment box) so it goes to the right department and CoH is in the list, in fact I can even select which server by clicking the arrow next to CoH in the list.

Just pointing out what I see here as it could be a response to these threads.

I also can't get in. Hope this gets resolved soon because I don't consider the game to be a safe way to access my NCSoft account for stuff like updating my CC info.

I am STILL having problems. https://login.ncsoft.com/login/loginform

I have 2 master accounts. My main created in 2006 with Guild Wars and City of Heroes and a recent account I made in May 2012 with only CoH added to it. The error I am getting is that my account name and/or password is wrong. Yet I can log into both master accounts via the Paragon Market in CoH.

I contacted support and all they did was reset my passwords and security questions. Nope. Didn't work. The temporary passwords given so I can go in and change them to what I want weren't recognized. Thankfully I was able to use them and reset them through the Paragon Market in CoH.

My only guess is that the NC Soft website log in is not checking account credentials against the Guild Wars/City of Heroes database and ONLY checking to see if the usernames/passwords are Lineage II/Aion accounts.

At the NC Soft website I can click on 'Create Account' and it takes me to a page with 2 options: crate an account for Lineage II/Aion or Guild Wars/City of Heroes. I click the GW/CoH and type in both my account names and they show up as taken.

This is increasingly frustrating. Sadly, and thankfully, I don't have the funds for the rest of the month to buy Paragon Points. But if it isn't fixed next month, I won't be buying anymore until it is.

I have the same sentiment as the post before mine:

I don't trust the paragon market for purchasing points. I'd rather go to the NC Soft website and log into my master account and do it that way.

I just hope my idea can get out to the right people. Customer support seems rather limited and seems to have trouble understanding the difference between the Paragon Market access to my master account and the NC Soft website access to it.

Using the game to update your info and purchase points is as safe as doing it from the website. In fact, it's also more reliable for now. It's a known system with fixed parameters. This is not a plot to force everyone to flee from web browsers, but it is an option that you should feel comfortable using for now.

I do understand that there are still those of you having difficulties logging in through the website, I'm actually one of those. The reality is at that this is an ongoing initiative and resolving it quickly is not likely.

The folks in Customer Service also cannot do much more than they have been able to do so far, so please don't be too hard on them.
