So why not just make an AE with "cows" or "piggs" with ... some kinda of non-threatening power (sonic Moo ?) and viola - cow mish.

The only option the OP has is the DfB which has built in limitations and diminishing returns that prevent power levelers from abusing it.
Killing cows is a very popular thing to do in Runescape which I also play.
I think it would be fun to have a villain or hero head to a cow pen and fight them. And I like fun & funny things in games I play. Not everything has to be super serious.
