Like me.

"Why is everyone worried that I am spending too much time in Dark Astoria, and the place is starting to make me darker? The truth is, what I have seen, what I know... these are the things that have made me reconsider my direction in life. I am still a hero... I just do things my own way now."

Well that's a totally reasonable position, and I just can't understand the devs stunning failure to cater to that demographic.

I can. It's because I'm in the minority, and I know it. That doesn't mean it's not important to me.

And I'm sure they'll continue to do just fine without my subscription money when they finally push me past my limit, too. Seriously, no sarcasm.

You're right. Except make that ALL BOYS, and "it" refers to the Princess Hat, the bonus face and the crowns in the Imperial Dynasty pack, the entirety of the Carnival of Light pack... I can go on.

Sorry I got a little snarky, that's from hangover in another thread and I shouldn't have put it on you.

I'm not a 'mob rule' guy- just because most people disagree with with you doesn't mean anything. In fact sometimes it means you're on the right path.

But costume options still seems like an odd choice of hill to die on.

I boycotted redside for quite a while due to the unfairness of the segregated markets, but I didn't up and quit the game over it....

This is GG you're talking about. That's a stretch that even [famous Marvel or DC "rubber man" superhero] couldn't make.

We all know what we mean when we speak, and that was what she was saying in her post.

Okay, fair point. There's definitely a difference between "intent" and "correctness."

Boys get to play with the Carnie sparkly maces, as a consolation prize there.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

Oh, how silly of me. That just makes everything all better, doesn't it?

No sweat dude. If I couldn't handle a little snark, I wouldn't be replying to GG's posts.

That's a little different bit of a different situation... (and probably a better reason to ragequit, to be honest.)

It's like if they decided to create new enhancements that were only available to Heroes, but didn't give anything to Villains in return, with a perpetuated argument that "Heroes should get more enhancement options than Villains because Heroes typically use more varied enhancements."

Well, they *do* have a kind of jingly sound effect, too.

So women = heroes, men = villains?

Thought you'd enjoy that analogy.

THIS

I personally LOVE the consumables from the superpacks. Granted I didn't buy the packs for them but when I realized I had 100+ self rez/ally rez, 300+ enhancement boosters, 150+ enhancement unslotters, etc.... I started using them. The rez consumables are super useful on heroes that don't hold wakies in their storage or even on heroes that have rez but the power isn't back yet. The ally one helps in rezzing teammates when there's no one with a rez power/we're outta wakies-so getting an extra one for my pile was nice. I will log in Fridays for these whether they are consumable or not. But to get back to the point of my quote-DEVS please please please change the size of viewing in the character claim items or some way of the interface being organized for easier identification for claiming. I want to use these items more often but it is REALLY tough to find any of them quickly for use.

I have a VIP and a Premium account and I'll log in on both for this stuff. I'll also broadcast it to my friends who are free/premium to grab them too. This also motivates me to log in Thursday night/Friday day to play so I can grab this and get some teaming in.

The princess hat was pretty nifty. I know male and female players who can use it for their heroes. Personally I think it should be something that's unisex or maybe alternating types so that the male only or female only players can utilize them and there won't be as much backlash. So this week was female and next week (or next costume piece if not the following week) could be male and that would alleviate the complaints a bit. But then again I just love free stuff and free costume bits are like gold for me. I have bought every single costume pack since they started releasing them so I'm a sucker for costume bits.

I do think it's silly to *complain* about free stuff. And by complain I mean the people who whine about it not being what they wanted-not the people just expressing their feedback.

XP booster not enough? here, have a hat princess.
I personally would be very happy if it was. It amuses me to think this so I will believe it!

EDIT**** I forgot to put a great big THANKS to the devs for the hat. So thanks bunches!!!!

to me this smells of a test to see if freebie friday would work on another night, like when they show a tv show not on its normal night.

or they could be getting legimate complaints from people who only play on weekends, and miss out on the freebie.

I am reminded of the first halloween event it only lasted 3 days during the week and weekend players complained,so next year it was longer.
I was glad for the four day window, since I keep forgetting to check for Freebie Friday items a day early. Maybe we should call it Thrifty Thursday.

Is there some sort of delay after the Freebie goes up before the market realizes it is free?

I added this week's freebie to my cart and it's showing up as 80pts and not free.

Yea... I just got bit by this. The listing says 0PP, cart said 80PP and I didn't realize until I bought it... sent a petition. Ugh.

//edit

In-game GM responded saying it would be escalated to the senior support team. Joy.
