No bites on your joke, because I knew someone would use that!
I think some sets are on sale, as well as some ATs? I can never tell what's really on sale until they release the Featured Items announcement.

hopefully they will have something awesome next tuesday since it sounds like a big day anyway if i23 is supposed to be out that day as well
If the vault increase was +10 I might get that. Otherwise... I agree, meh!
For next week, I am going to guess there will be another round of 99cent VIP 1 months, sale on TW, and maybe 25% character slots.

Since we jump from I23 and the Paragon Market on this thread, I figured I'd post that I23 is on the Training Room in, what I assume is, preparation for next weeks release.
The patch notes are too long to quote, so here's the link: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...18#post4252318
EDIT: Odd... Retro Sci-Fi is on that patch. I thought it was coming after I23.

Retro Sci Fi is here, and costume slots are still on sale (although at 25% off instead of last week's 35% off).
The Beam Rifle power set is also on sale, how's everyone's experience with it? I may just pick it up.

Personally didn't like the other options for pairing with beam with the various AT flavors; devices was the closest other concept I thought of rolling, but I get more usefulness with the debuff options. That, and I saw Shamster remind me why I don't like Devices that much anyway and his numerous deaths didn't help it.
I've already forgotten about most of you
Picked up the Retro set... have a number of toons that can use the costumes and the custom weapons. Had a hard time finding the Bubble Helmet, though... it's Detail 2 under Normal heads...

I also wasn't that thrilled with the options for the rifle itself, though haven't yet seen the two new rifles in the Retro Sci-Fi set. I ended up going with the DUST rifle as being something with in-game history.

You folks should mark this day on your calendars. I'm going to pick up the retro sci-fi costume set.
Already had the beam rifle set from when it was introduced. Just never really did anything with it. I'll have to figure out what I want to pair with it as this will probably be my next iso's toon.

It is loud, though, as someone above mentioned.

It's a noisy set -- not quite as noisy as standing next to a portal in Portal Corp, but if you're really rolling the attack chains, it's close.

I still rather wish that beam had riffed on the existing beam weapons from the Bots MM set, but it still is pretty fun. The ST damage packs a nice walllop as well. Weaker on AOE, but it works well if you open with your smaller cone or Nuke first. Cutting Beam is a very wide cone, so it works well later in a fight.
If you like Blasters, I'd recommend a secondary that lets you lean on the Primary more once a fight start. Energy works well there, and Fire is working out okay for me, knowing that I'm not going to leverage it too much.
Guide: Tanking, Wall of Fire Style (Updated for I19!), and the Four Rules of Tanking
Story Arc: Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory
And MG, I expect to see a black panther wandering around the base next isos.
So I23 June 5th, Blockbuster Summer July 10th, and you'll never see a Panther in Isos unless Ham or Voodoo buy it.
