More stuff I won't buy

I ended up purchasing Beam Rifle with the discount. I'll put it to good use soon!

Nothing interesting this week... to me anyway.

Have plenty of boosters and unslotters from previous Super Packs, and I've never bought SBOs.

Purple sets are still to expensive for me to even consider buying them. Even the ones at 50% for 1000 PPs.

Overall thoughts on boosters, people? I have a few but haven't used any yet.

More bang for the buck to +5 lower lvl IOs? +1 or 2 high level IOs? Worth getting lots and lots and lots?

Boosters are really good for 3 things:

1. Exemping, you can slot level 30s and boost them and have level 50 values but be able to keep your bonuses when exemped.

2. Two slotting normally three slotted powers, you can slot 2 level 50 rech IOs in hasten and boost them and have the value of 3, or 2 res IOs in HPT as another example.

3. Purples, you can +5 a damage purple and combine it with a Dmg/acc HO to slot a power in 2 slots. Or you can bump up the triple or dmg/end or dmg/rech and forgo the dmg purple all together! (if 5 slotting)

I am not sure I would buy these unless I had a lot of points, I usually just use my extra tokens for Super packs and I seem to get plenty

My main problem with them is it feels like you have to +5 every....single.....slot to make it worthwhile. Granted I can see a benefit in that in many regards, but how many slots at 50? Then x5 boosters. Then xCharacters. Just the idea puts me off the idea; yes I know that certainly isn't necessary, but it's in the back of my mind I'm sure that was the intent to intice people to buy them, but it just puts me off the idea of them as a whole.

I might play with the ones I have with a respec that's needed on a Troller of mine just to use them or a Scrapper that's in need of a respec anyway to make the 30s more tolerable.

I have used Boosters on sets that don't give enough damage at level 30 or so to reach the ED cap. So... Mako's, Obliteration (I think), that sort of thing where the set bonuses are quite useful but don't give enough help in other areas. Works okay, though I haven't been able to use it on my huge amount of characters... I also reserve it for powers where upping the damage would actually make a difference. 82% to 95% damage on a Tanker Tier 1 power probably isn't worth it.

Still, I'd maybe buy some if I had the points. But even then, I'd hope to get them via superpacks, since I still have a couple of those elemental costume parts to get.

I didn't know the XP Boosters stack with Double XP Weekend. My play time will be limited this weekend, so that might be worth an investment.

WTF stacks with Double XP, right? I seem to recall getting Quad-Completion bonus on the last DXP weekend. Lady Grey is actually a WTF I would run!

I couldn't remember, but I thought the last DBL XP happened during a Tin Mage or Apex WTF. Which made sense to limit the amount of XP explosions. LGTF or STF make some sense as well.

But Sutter/Kal just opens the flood gates.

The Announcement section houses the oft-updated Strike list; book mark that and only use that. The Wiki isn't always updated right away and the emails are a joke for information........but at least I've been getting them again. Ha Ha @ Flux
