Why Virtue instead of Freedom? Also, wasn't one of the 'perks' of the Exalted server supposed to be it was the place things like this would be held?

I suggested many times that they should server hop and spread the love, instead of sticking to one server.
Don't come at me with the "you don't have to come." mentality.
Would be nice if we could enter toons that have the capes and aura's unlocked. And don't give me the, "you can buy to unlock it, or else play for 30 levels." notice either.
Server hopping is easy, and shows the love to ALL servers, not just one.
Pick a new server each month, people will flock anyways, and it's also a great way to show you care about more than just Virtue or the VIP server.
(this also disturbs the nice RP crowd in PD, so i'm not just thinking selfishly)

Normally I'm a post and let post kind of guy, but if anyone out there legitimately has a fear of clowns you just shut the thread down for them on page one.

Why is that Exhalted a server that is all VIP Players never get the costume contests anymore....???? It would seem to me that would be a benefit to being a VIP player! The chance to win prizes through COH Should be held for those who PAY. So why would you continue to place these contests in a zone that is played by anyone. I as a paying player feel that this is just wrong especially when Freedom came out IT stated that the contests would be held for those that pay and now they are not. Not unless I want to change servers for a day and then compete against those that do not pay. Sorry truly an injustice for all those that DO pay for the game.

When this event is being held in an interdimensional party venue, I don't see why Paragon City even needs to be mentioned.
Except that, it seems, Paragon City (or simllar) must be mentioned in every announcement (because, as GG will say, this is City of Heroes I'm paying to play). I do thank you for mentioning villains, though (and I'm not trying to be snarky or sarcastic, even though I'm sure in text it will appear that way).

Plus, last time i checked, Carnies were in PI and the Rogue Isles, so....

And then there's Rogues Gallery villains, and our player villains that wreck Paragon City on a regular basis within story arcs and Mayhem Missions.

Here are some reasons why.
1) We are all part of the COH community. Events should be for all. I wanted it to be like old where the Devs held events on all servers. But because of time this is a good compromise.
2) The False Idea that VIPs are the only ones that PAY. You can be a Premium and Pay more per month via Paragon Points than a VIP. Plus a long time Vet has paid many months of play, or many copies of the game where to be VIP you only have to pay 1 month of time.
3) Not all VIPs play or want to be on EXALTED. Some like their home server.
4) Virtue along with Freedom are the top 2 severs for population in the Game. EXALTED fast lost its player base after the new shiney wore off and lost a second wave after that other game came out.
5) Virtue has a rep for Roleplayers and Cosplay so a CC there makes sense. EXALTED has a rep also but its not for Roleplaying.

We should be seen as one, not tear the player base in half or even in three.
I still protest the fact that they are only using one server, i suggested many times about server hopping these events. Show free players that the Devs are actually being a part of this game not just by creating content, but also showing that they love the players, and they have shown how great they are to us with a lot of things.
One way to make free players premium or VIp is to reach out to them. A free player has two global slots, if he is on Champion, Guardian or Protector, he can't join this event. Just being part of it would make him feel more special than just being a free player and thinking nobody really cares about him/her.

Yes, the Carnies actually have a permanent settlement in St Martial. That's kind of my point - the Rogue Isles don't rate a mention. My answer - either mention both, or none at all (after all, the judging is occuring in a co-op zone...).

My point is about visibility.... but I concede that I'm bashing my head against a wall with this...

Use any combination of costume pieces and head to Pocket D on the Virtue Server, March 28th 2012 at 11:00AM PDT (7:00PM BST/20:00 CEST) and 6:00PM PDT(2:00AM BST/3:00 CEST on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Europe). You will not be judged by your biography, so make sure that your concept is clear by costume and name alone!
Our special guest judges for this contest will be Matt "Positron" Miller and Melissa "War Witch" Bianco!
As always, each semi-finalist will win an NPC costume code and the top three will win VIP Game Time! Official rules and details can be found here. Good luck!
