My first red name post! Huzzah!

I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. You can all call me The 4ft Fury. I've been a part of the COH environment team for a little over two years now helping out on environments such as the Victorian mansion interior/exterior as well as the Atlas Park and Dark Astoria revamps. I had the pleasure of meeting some of you during the player summit and look forward to interacting via the forums as well.

Anyway, I just wanted to say a big “thank you” to everyone who is choosing to participate in this contest! We’re seeing some great submissions so far and I know I can’t want to see what other fantastic things you guys come up with. Good luck, get creative, and more importantly have fun!

Hello 4ft Fury, those are some of my favorite environments. You did good.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

From the contest rules page:
Quote:
All entries must be received via email prior to 11:59 p.m. CST (6:59 a.m. GMT; 7:59 CET), Tuesday, April 10, 2012 (Wednesday, April 11th 2012 in Europe) (the "Contest Conclusion") and must be in English. Entries which do not conform to these Official Rules and Conditions will not be accepted. The Contest is limited to one entry per person.

Good question, I am seeing contradicting information.

http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/n...er_and_win.php

It says here:
Quote:
Your submission will be judged on originality, creativity and visual appearance. Feel free to submit as many entries as you like, but you may only place one as a Contest Winner. We reserve the right to make alterations to the winning entries.
So may we enter as many as we like, or is it one per person?

Per the official (read, sent from legal) rules, it's one per person. Looks like the newspost misstated that. I'll be sure we get corrected ASAP.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Yay 4ft Fury! I had the honor of sitting at your table for dinner at the last player summit (you seemed taller ). Hopefully, in late April you can be with some ppl that win a door prize. Anyway, welcome to the forum and keep up the great work (love the mansion, AP, and DA revamps).

Hmmm. I'm not certain who you are, but I guess I'll have my curiosity sated at the Spring Pummit.

Welcome to the madhouse we call the CoH Forums.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Hmmmmm...looks like it's time to narrow down my entries since I was going off the earlier stated rules of "enter as many times as you wish".

That is unfortunate to hear. But thank you for clearing that up. I had about 12 decent concepts that I was going to pump out this weekend. Now I can put more effort into one so that's the bright side!

I took that to mean you could have as many files as you wanted to enter provided it was done on one entry (which included the quote about conforming to the rules and whatnot), which seemed to be the main reason for recommending Send Space or Yousendit to transmit the multiple files. If only one movie poster was allowed why would this need to be done? Just curious.

Depending on the amount of detail and layers, a Photoshop file can get fairly large, even for the pixel dimensions specified.

Everyone has to bow to the legal rules.

I agree, Snow . But, the official news announcement says:

2. Include your Movie Poster file as an attachment if its size doesn't exceed 5MB or use sendspace.com or www.yousendit.com if you have several files or the total file size exceeds 5MB. (bold emphasis added).

Which is why I asked for the clarification. Using this method makes it possible to enter only once (per the legal rules), but have multiple submissions as part of your entry. If that is not allowed, I would like to know.

It doesn't matter what the announcement says:

We've already had one reference to multiple submissions removed from the announcement. Asking it in a different way doesn't change the contest rules that the legal department has set. The contest rules trumps the announcement.

There should be something about this at the Player Summit - but don't forget that this is mostly meant for the Blockbuster Summer event, which is still a little way off

June is a while away. I don't think they have to do anything until then.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Oh there was. Winners are having their images being used for decor in a movie theater setting. Pretty cool. I'm sure you can find some images from the summit on the forums etc of this.

@artphobia
To the best dev team ever: I enjoyed meeting you all at the Summits and best of luck in all your future endeavors.

So, did they announce the winners at the player summit...or maybe I just misunderstood your last post.

Thanks,
Todd
