So defeat the b**tard, and then escort your hostage out.

Some people are going to complain about any new mechanic introduced to the game, especially if it introduces new challenges. That in itself is not a valid reason to not change things.

As long as it's not overused, I don't have any problem with this. One thing that's a bit irritating, though, is that those enemies that use challenging tactics (Sappers, anyone?) tend to be encountered en masse. Facing off against four or five Sappers in a mission isn't a problem; it's fun to not just be mindlessly button mashing. But by the time I fight 50 of them in one mission, my floor is littered with pulled-out hair and I never want to see another one. Such is the fine line between challenging and irritating, the difference between a memorable mission and a mindless slog.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

I was thinking more about how they would likely show up.

I'm sure you've run an escort mission where you are met bey wave after wave of ambushes on your way to the door.

How fun would it be to keep getting TPed back to the spawn point every time a new ambush spawned?

I'd really like to see enemies that use Taunt.

Despite playing for years, it was actually fairly recent that I first experienced being Taunted. A tanker got confused by a Succubus and accidentally hit Taunt after it auto-targeted me.

It was pretty cool, between the "Taunted" status and the special reticle that showed who I was allowed to attack.

Their portals annoy me solo enough as it is.

Ok so this portal sent me here but if i go through it again it sends me somewhere else and now if i go through it a third time its somewhere else again!

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

It requeres some tech tweaing.. and or new code. But it would make the fights more interesting.. and dangerous. In this incarnate age it is becoming way to easy as it is. So I am all for this idea.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

I think we need TP foe on enemies like we need a hole in the head, personally...

I'm going to share Techbot's sentiment. I might be okay with it during a very gimmicky boss fight, but as a general tactic of a enemy faction I probably would become QUICKLY INFURIATED. I know it seems like a fantastic idea from the perspective of a Brute or a Scrapper who is suddenly whisked away to valhalla to drink mead and crush skulls, but for any other archetype without built in mez protection it's like suddenly being ganked by a Stalker in PVP 4 years ago. Controllers, Blasters, Defenders, and the rest of their ilk all very much greatly depend on getting the jump on their enemies in order to come out victorious. Enemies with TP Foe will make the ambushes in First Ward look like a joke. A cruel, angry, relentless joke.

Facing Skyraiders. Porters teleport away pointlessly, then later come back.

Imagine instead after they teleport away, they teleport a player to them. Probably next to another spawn. That player is probably going to go down.

I could see a "come over here" move with a tp foe combined with an immobilize to teleport ranged players into melee for a beat down. It would be powerful but still within the confines of the existing fight.

I agree with previous posters that there are going to be a small group of people who will complain about any new mechanic added to the game. However adding the TP Foe to certain groups, such as Knives, Raiders, and definitely to Pretorians could add a fascinating new element to the game play.

I'm not going to be able to participate on this week's freedom Friday on facebook, so if someone wouldn't mind asking this for me I'd love ya forever

If you know what groups have it, you can be prepared for it.

Being prepared to die is still going to lead to death.
