Okay, COHers... time to put words in Posi's mouth (sort of)

If you've started doing the Valentine's Tips missions, you eventually get to deliver one from Numina to Positron. All well and good that she's woman (ghost) enough to declare her feelings. But she deserves a reply, don't you think?

And we've already seen that when it comes to romance, Posi isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box (he gave Psyche and Manticore a transwarp blender, for crying out loud). So, this is your chance to ghost-write (haha stealth pun) a love letter from Positron to Numina!

(And I will give serious props to anyone who actually manages a really good love letter like the ones in the Valentine's tips.)

Comedic, serious, gushy, witty, or just plain hopeless - let's see it!

Quote:
Dear Tammy:

Roses are red
Well at least most
I love you intensely
Even though you're a ghost

Love, Ray

Here's my effort.

You remember the photo
for which you posed?
It seem's there's a problem,
and it is underexposed.
And so my Valentine,
the image is bleak.
Your spirit was willing,
but the flash was weak.

Here you go:

Quote:
My Darling Tammy,

Oh how I love thee.
My heart fills with joy when I look apon your face.
The sun, moon, and stars pale in comparison to your translucence beauty.
Flowers bow their heads in shame and homage when you pass by.
Birds sing joyous songs in praise of your loveliness.
As the splitting of the atom fuels the heat of nuclear fusion,
your exquisiteness doth fuel my heart’s love for you.

Forever yours,

Ray

Tammy,

Being heroes we often save the world from threats that abound,
Monsters rampaging, aliens invading, and Nemesis pontificating.
But a question remains, one that science cannot answer.
For if we protect the world, who protects our hearts?
Forever and always is not just in time, but also in stone.
Will you be Mine?

Dear Ms. Arcanus;

Any sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from science.

You bring the Crowley Particles. I'll bring the "charm".

Let's conduct some experiments.

*along with a box of soul chocolate*

OMG I am so sorry I forgot about Valentine's Day! I hope this chocolate... I think it's chocolate... Helps... I had to go to Ye Olde Magic Shoppe, and you know how that place always freaks me out. I hope you don't mind, I had to ask Azuria and War Witch what would be best to help apologize and this is what they recommended.

Also, please don't worry about the missing candy... I couldn't help myself and just had to try one. Still don't know if I ate anything or if it just passed through my body... I took bites, and they disappeared... But it was like I wasn't even eating anything... And it was like the "echo" of the flavor of chocolate, if that makes any sense...

Sorry, I'm rambling.

With sincere affection,

Ray

My Dearest Tammy,

For the longest time, I was an untouchable man
The anti-matter I had become
Could only be contained when I armored my flesh
And hardened my spirit against never touching another soul
But you, my Lady, have shown me the light
That what makes a man a Man
Is not the matter he is made of
But rather the quality of his heart, and mine beats for you...

My dearest Tammy,

Roses are Red.

Radiation is Green.

You've always been there for Me.

Except that time I got Dead.

Worry not, my dearest love.

The Dark Watcher was there

As if sent from above.

I remember the day, not so long ago,

That you dazzled and confused, beat our leader blue.

When the dominator, wicked and vile...

Forced your attentions to me.

I could not help but smile.

For much like our love, I knew the bruises you would inflict would linger for a while.

Alas I know what is true.

I can think of no one I'd rather have at my side but You.

Besides, Ms. Liberty is a cranky shrew.

Dearest Tammy,

I tried to bring you back,
But these spells I can't crack.
I'm feeling under the weather,
It seems habitual.
For the love of you I tried, but,
I Botched That Ritual.

Tiredly yours,

Its strange, but I think the poem I posted was funnier. The equation is cute, the other one is topical.

The details of the topic in question are vague to me at best. The personality and "cute"ness of the equation stand on their own without leaning on such knowledge, and thus resonate more strongly with me.

Which is an awesome song.

Short story time: One year for Christmas, one of the things I did was grab a bunch of $1.00 cds from Half Price Books and ask my friends to pick out whichever one they wanted. (This wasn't my only present mind you, it was just me having a bit of fun.) I mostly picked out cds that I thought were really good -- whenever I go through a bargain bin, I find myself saying, "Oh, this is a great cd! But I already have it!" But I also grabbed some things at random that I'd never heard of that looked interesting or just plain weird or silly.

One of those cds was Spaceship Zero by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. When my friend saw that, he snatched it up. Then I had to ask why he wanted it so badly, because I'd never heard of them. Then I had to go out and buy my own copy, at full price.

Fun group.

Oh, and my favorite poem is the equation too. ^_^ But the "everything's green" made me laugh out loud.
