There's also a mission late in the game where you "rescue" him from Tyrant. Not sure how they're going to handle that!

Would be a shame to lose that mission. You can ghost it and let Statesman go to town on the mobs after Tyrant is down. The damage from his attacks is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
I did a mission in AE about a year ago. It involved freeing Statesman, then he assists you in defeating Lord Recluse. When we got to Recluse, I sat back and watched the two fight. The mission had Statesman as a Lvl 50 EB, and Recluse as a 52 AV. States still defeated Recluse.

I think something mentioned that the TF will stay, but the contact will be changed to someone other than Statesman, as well as a rename to the TF itself.

I have one question for all of those that have posted here.

Who is a Fanboy/Fangirl of Superhero comics??????

I ask you this only becuse it's as plain as the nose on your face that Marcus Cole isn't dead, nor merged with some other being.

He's starting up the new base of operations on Luna for combating the "Coming Storm" that has yet to be mentioned in anything but cryptic notes.

How do I know this, you ask?

Read any Major Superhero comic like Xmen (Jean Grey/Phoenix Arc) or Superman (Death of Superman/Reign of Supermen) to know that Heros always come back from thier "Death". They did his death so that he can be out of the spotlight to do things that would make others question his absence if he were still alive, since in CoH/CoV there is only one person that can make enough copies of himself (that still have his powers) so that nobody knows what he's up to. That's Dr. Aeon, he's the only one that I've seen that is like Jamie Maddox (aka Multipul Man) from Marvel. If you don't know who I'm refering to, then read a Xmen comic to remind yourself why you choose this RPG to play instead of World of ........!

However, this is just my humble thoughts on what a terrible loss to Paragon City, if Statesman was truely dead.

Also, if any rednames read this post and I'm too close to the truth for comfort. Just let me know privately and I'll go back to my Comics and not post my thoughts here.

PS- I would just like to add that I have never felt like more of a Failure as an Emp Def then when I watched Marcus Cole die. I'm sorry I failed you, Statesman. Forgive me.

I know the answer is 42, however what is the damn Question?

Hmm. Probably the way to interpret all of this is that he was so respected even his enemies have shown up, under truce, to pay tribute to the fallen.

That said, I know of at least one spirit for whom Metronome did what he wanted to do for Praetorial Penny Yin (IE was placed in a clockwork body, Metronome hoped to learn how to make Clockwork that could handle magic ala the Tin Mage), so one can / maybe should interpret it as something similar?

OOC, though, the one comment I have is in the arrangement of the Pall bearers. As Spirits, War Witch and Numina would have been better placed as the two center bearers, as BAB and Citadel could easily have taken up the load their lack of physical bodies create. Libby should be the one 'in the place of honor' right behind the casket as the sole remaining member of the family Line with Desdemona (who starts as a rogue, at best, after all and doesnt emerge as any sort of heroic type until the start of the Incarnate content) relegated to Libby's position in the back with the Vindicators. Of course, its already released now which of course means that for all our opinions, its not changeing.

When I first got the news about the eulogy being public to read, I was listening to Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There" and then the song randomly shuffled to Whitney Houston's "I will always love you". Those songs totally set the mood when I was reading the eulogy.
