Super Group Quality of Life Improvements?

I agree with most of what has been said.

I'm not sure why those other zone have not been added. But why not the crossover zones either? Haven't heard a good reason. If I am a vigilante and want to go villain side for a TF or whatever, why not a TP to Grandville? I have access to it. And of course, straight heroes will not have access to those TPs.....just like they dont have access in Pocket D or RWZ.

I'd love to see more "stuff" to put in the SGs as well but I'm more keen on functionality. This is just a few of my suggestions.

*Personal vaults with more than just salvage....it's a pain juggling the few storage containers we have access restrictions.

*Trainers

*Costume designers

*Message center (like one of those kiosks or cork boards) with much larger space for messages and easy to change.

*Something thing to do with all of this prestige we've been earning. We love the reduction in costs from awhile ago.....but continue to earn with the hope that we can be able to use it.

*Easier rent payments. - Why cant we email our rent or set up an automated payment.

*More personalization of SG base for non leaders. - throwing out ideas but why not a "door" that takes you to your room in the SG that you can design 100% yourself....allow access to different members....store your stuff etc. Maybe even a TP into your room directly instead of the central hub...if you want.

Just some thoughts....I know some are repeats.

Only in rooms that allow the placement of defensive items. The room I built my castle in was the 8x8 decorative Great Room.

You want the auto-doc able to do elective surgery on you?

I'm not sure that's a good idea. It and the Automated Expert System have been talking.

Anyway, to my suggestion(s) - hope I'm not overlapping with anyone else's.

While I'm loving the ramped up adding of content to the game I feel the Super Group side of the game has been a little neglected of late. A couple things I thought of are:

1. Super Group Buff
Some kind of ambient buff, not a huge one but inline with those gained from powers such as Mystic Fortune. A buff that applies, or maybe multiplies, for each member of a given SG on a team.

2. New Base Items
There's a lot of base items, but I think it would be nice if we got a few new skins and items, maybe drawn from Praetoria etc to improve our bases with.

3. Added Telepad Support
There's been a fair few zones added to the world that currently can't be connected to the bases' teleport systems - think it'd be nice if SG's could earn the right to teleport to pretty much any zone from the base.
for 1, it was originally implemented using original items of power but they were linked with the CoP and the original CoP was broken so it got revamped as well as the items of power, but i do like the idea and would love to see something akin to it

for 2, technically in issue 22 we are getting a new base item, craftable telepads which can have up to 6 beacons attached to them instead of the usual 2 (not sure if this point would intertwine with your 3rd point)

the most interesting thing to me would be #1, i would really love to be able to put a sg wide buff item into my base even if it would be only temporary

The ability to log out from within the base and still be in the base when I log back on.

Be well, people of CoH.

I wouldn't mind having more ranks to spread permissions more.... And mainly one above the gold star in a circle and under the red star in a circle to have like a "co-owner like rank in case the red star leader isn't around and the people that the leader KNOWS would not screw with stuff be allowed this "co-leader" rank

Or at least give us at maybe 3 more rankd of some sort in groups would be nice

A couple of comments...

The current base editor is a fragile thing. Every time they do something to it the bases break. Sometimes horribly, sometimes in amusing ways (bases vs players). Due to this, base love takes a LOT of time. This is likely the biggest reason we haven't seen much on bases.

There have been some QoL improvements: hacked teleporters are Coming Soon™, we have new tools to make stacking easier... but a complete overhaul of the base editor would cause an implosion of basers everywhere. Currently, an overhaul would most likely mean a loss of all the hard work that has been put into bases. I, for one, would be Okay with the loss, however I would bemoan the complete loss of my enhancement storage full of pretties... that is a scary thought. I know some who have several storage tables just full of only purples. o.O

As for having a tailor, AE, or Auction House access... these have shown to use so much in resources in bases and cause so much lag as to be something we will likely never see. That's why the /ah is disabled in bases.

Yes I use terms such as "most likely" because the devs do try and find solutions and, sometimes, resolve the issues to surprise us (customizing powerset colors).

All this info has been gleaned from reading the Base Building forums and listening to the devs on the coffeetalks and Facebook Fridays events.

I also agree with a lot that has been said. Even just little SG improvements and building up to expanding them more would be nice. It seems like a very dated feature and needs to be brought up to the standard of the rest of the new shiny content that's recently been made/redone. Right now I would love nothing more than to be able to rename my supergroup. I know a few people who have inherited multiple supergroups and would like to save the hard earned prestige/badges and give it a new name. If this were an actual feature I think it should be a super leader decision only and only be available once in a blue moon, like a global handle rename change for example.
