Really, devs? REALLY? AFK farming is ok?

Well, that's exactly why the Devs usually (but not always) stomp on what seem like harmless abuses early: they grow, and while the game design can handle a thousand or so people exploiting something, it cannot usually bear ten thousand abusing that thing.

This particular abuse strikes me personally as annoying on principle but essentially harmless.

Rock on, 3%.

The real problem is that as as long as the devs allow this, it prevents them from having to really solve the issues of PvP and the drop rate. Relying on AFK farmers to fix glaring design flaws in your game doesn't speak very highly of them as designers.

What part of "They're NOT going to "solve" the issues with PVP" wasn't understood?

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

What part of "and the droprate" wasn't understood? Get rid of recipe drops in pvp entirely, drop the a-merit cost down to something sane and put them on the regular merit vendors, and people that want to pvp can actually have the pvp IOs.

When you've got something that every person doing activity X is supposed to have going for counting number multiples of the influence cap and the only supply of that item is coming from people breaking the spirit (not the letter) of the rules, you've got a problem that needs fixing.

PvP can go diaf as far as I'm concerned but the PvP IOs can be salvaged.

Most of the geometry holes were fixed in PVPzones, but there may still be one. That is a bug that should be reported fixed as soon as possible.

Then, you PVP these vandals when you see them in a PVP zone.
