Masterminds 8, Romulus 0
I bet you played the entire TF in 'aggressive' mode.
Its so nice being on 8-man teams were each member can buff, debuff, do damage, and even Tank. Its easy mode.
I saw this being formed last night and I knew I was going to be missing out.
You guys must have had a blast.
Where to now?

Hilariously so.
Is this gonna pick up with regularity? If so I'll be tempted to move my MM to Virtue.
I joined the Mastermind Channel, saved my characters name on Virtue in case I transfer and will monitor how much goes or doesnt go on.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
Bah! This group was missing Mercs! I am not pleased!
Seriously though, good job!

1) There's a MM channel? How did I miss out on this?????
2) I used to run an all-MM thing called MM Mondays because why should Tankers have all the fun? It was always a hoot. We all started at lvl 1-2 and switched the Diff up at lvl 6 and again at lvl 12. On slow nights I'd hold MM classes like 'Defensive/Follow FTW' and 'Yes...it's okay for MMs to attack no matter what other players say.'
3) I'd love to get in on an all-MM regular event if someone else can host it. My schedule is too hectic right now to organize it I'm afraid.
"Comics, you're not a Mastermind...you're an Overlord!"
Wow, all those seeker drones and photon grenades...
what? ... what?

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

As for regularity...no idea. We all wrapped wanting to, certainly.
In all honesty, we looked for one, trying to cover the spread.

Yeah I name saved a character on Virtue and looked in Channel Search and there was a MM channel with 600 members just 8 online.

I was the one going aggressively, enough to die while holding the stairs for most of the nictus ambush, only to succumb and destroy our Mo chance.
Fortunately we reformed and stomped everything afterwards. the Invincible Army of the Future easily bested Romulus, we even managed to separate him from the nictus and prevented him from rezzing at all.

You should assemble a team of 8 thug masterminds with burnout... That would've been epic even if it was for a few minutes.

My first character was a BS/SR scrapper and I've sorta taken that playstyle to every other character that I've ever played.
Sometimes it works, other times....I don't have any problems getting all my debt badges, though I do try to die somewhere where it won't cause a total wipe if it does happen.

Man, that ITF was a riot. Had a good time not having to look after non-MMs.

Part Two--Under Construction
I saw about this and I wish I could have gone.
But gratz! Looks like it was a blast!
As the one who started it, I have to admit I was inspired by the talk of Masterminds and Trials, and remember I once did an all-Dual Pistols ITF once as well, and figured "Hell, why not?"
I'm glad everyone was so patient. We had one drop-out due to lag, but I was surprised by the LACK of lag on our part mostly. Enemies did wind up popping in and out all over the place courtesy of the engine's rendering limitations. But overall, I'm glad people were so patient with me.
The huge success was likely due to the fact over half the team was /Dark, so Twilight Grasp got MAXIMUM efficiency and performance. Not to mention with two /Trap Bots and the one /FF using Power boost along with about 5 stacks of Maneuvers equaled about...135-138% in Melee, Ranged, and AoE defenses. Resistances weren't as high, but with BG mode it was laughable.

I hope to do this regularly if possible, encourage folks to actively use MMs more, as there were times I feared we wouldn't have enough people for a full team.
Yesterday afternoon, random banter on Virtue LFG Beta coalesced into Issen1 announcing that he really did want to put together an all-mastermind Imperious Task Force. It took a little while, and one false start followed by a relaunch so that we could make it a Master Of run...and then we kicked through everything. Total time was about 1:20, I think.

We had...let's see. 4 robots, 1 thugs, 1 ninja, 1 necro, and 1 demons, if I'm recalling correctly. I don't remember everyone's secondaries, but we had enough bubbling that most of us were over 100% on major defenses most of the time.
It was a blast, and lag wasn't as bad as I was dreading. I look forward to doing it again.
