Def. Sweep is the first thing i use in my attack chain (TW/WP brute, lv 47), I've stacked melee defence up towards +45% on top of my toggles, that's with 2 +DEF SO's in DSw. I'm trying to untrain that reflex for my damage spec, but the +Melee DEF buff is great for the tank spec.

As someone above posted, I now rarely notice the slow swings, momentum is announced before the attacks hit, so if it pops (or not) i know which power to activate accordingly.

The one thing i have noticed, after respeccing my tank build out of Tactics, is that +15% acc (SO'd) really helped alot >.<, but as my brute accrues more IO set bonuses, I'm slowly clawing back out of that hole.

To counter the end-pig nature of momentum, I chose WP, because of Recovery. Recovery and stamina are 3 slotted, and the energy EPP= Superior Conditioning (2 slotted) and Physical Perfection (2x END Mod, 2x Heal). Over longer fights his 4+End/second can take a hit still, but that really just means using Rend Armor and Arc of Destruction about half as much as when I'm just swinging crazy-kill-em-all.

At one point i had all three passive Recovery powers 3 slotted, but i have been experimenting with slots alot, trying to find a balance between recov/regen/res/def/damage. The Brutes Damage spec is alot simpler to manage ... Rend and Arc both have 2xDam, 2xEND Red. Recovery Passives all 3 slotted, and IO sets aimed at +damage, recharge is handled via Hasten, as END is noo problemo!!!

because of the subsequent:

Just got my TW/EA brute to 22 last night but while leveling I was using DefSweep + Titan Sweep? (the T3 cone) + any of the ST attacks then DefSweep again (momentum then ends) and it looks RIGHTOUS!!!.

Slow build up swing cone, fast huge swing cone with KB, single foe fast SMASH then another fast swing cone. Minions are dead (or very close), the Lt I used the ST on is dead (or very close).
Then another DefSweep and they all die (im now 'wasting' Momentum but I use the roar emote for effect )

For single targets I use Rend Armor (for the -Def/-Res) then Follow Through for the DoT and Crushing Blow if needed.

None of my attacks have Rech slotted yet (focused on Acc and EndRed then Dam).

End usage has been a bit of an issue but only if I have a few misses.
When I hit all the time (2x Acc enh) I end up with about 25% end remaining.
If I miss and I have to wait in combat for my end to come back the +Def from DefSweep keeps me fine for MOST of the combat (CoT's Boss NE damage aura's REALLY FRICKEN HURT)

It's already good, no sense improving something already good, every powerset has it weakness.

It's more powerful then most powersets but it lack speed, which is a good thing, not everything need to be perfect.

Dev already no about it lack of speed and will not improve it, they said The Momentum is Suppose to make it better and increase the speed.

it's good as it is and i don't think they will change it because you ask them to bro.

I have no problems with and haven't died once on My TW/wp toon.

Maybe momentum should be changed to a bar.. the more you swing and fight without stop.. the faster ur moves become.. till the point were ur just going crasy.. but at the cost of your end.. and it goes down when your not fighting..

Exactly how many different powers do you figure the devs should create for each attack? Momentum works perfectly fine the way it is.

When I first read about TW and the momentum mechanic, this is I i initially envisioned it working. Starting out slow and ramping up speed-wise as you went. But, I'd say that the way the Devz went wasn't too shabby and works rather well.

When you think about it, you really can't get something that big moving that fast indefinitely. You WILL wear yourself out trying. Translate that into game terms and...you get the current momentum mechanic. You can get it moving pretty good for a short stint before you have to slow back down again.

No.

Momentum works fine as it is, the "downtime" is barely noticable once you get a decent number of attacks going (mid-20s) and the effect on your endurance bar under momentum is ... staggering ... at times.
