What would buying "Going Rogue" do?

Sorry for these kind of ignorant questions. Just learning the game again after a bunch of years away. I got the original game, way back in 2004, so I have applied just one retail code to my account (plus a bunch of time cards).

If I were to buy the "Going Rogue" edition of the game, I assume I'd get 30 days of play time and some new power sets/costume pieces unlocked. Would it also give me...

Alignment System Unlock (when premium)?
Praetorian Content (when premium)?
Architect Unlock (when premium)?
Any Paragon Points?
Any Reward Token(s)?

Nice. Thanks. I wish I could delete a post after an answer was this obvious

It's a good thing that you can't. It allows other people who might also have the same question to be able to find the answer. It's really considered bad form on these forums to delete posts after the answer has been found.

Right, that wiki link above tells you what you get if you buy a box from a store. However, GR is not sold in the online Paragon Market any more. What they sell now has been broken up into two separate purchases: Praetoria and the Alignment System. I think the online market is pretty clear, but I wanted to be sure you and any one else understood what's going on with their current offering.

You can see a list of all of the current online market items with a short description here:

I am buying a sealed, new box to shipped to me. I may also get Architect Edition, City of Villains and City of Villains: Collector's Edition, if they are inexpensive months. Rogue looks like the best deal in terms of system unlocks, etc.

Make sure you apply CoV before CoV:CE if you get both.

QFE

If you apply CoV:CE first, you won't be able to apply CoV and won't get the month that comes with it.

Might not be that obvious to everyone. Glad you can't, because it was completely obnoxious when people would do that back when you could. No matter how obvious you think it was now that you have the answer, you did have to ask, which means others might need the answer too.

The Architect Edition is nice to get because as far as I know it still comes with a choice between the Magic Pack and the Science Pack.

I am following Architect Edition on eBay, too. The Magic Pack looks fun. I was able to get "Rogue" for $6.69, new on eBay—it's since gone up to $9.98 from the same seller, so I may take my immense savings and use it to justify splurging on the Ninja Pack when it goes on sale Friday.

Off eBay's always chancy. Have you tried applying the code and been successful yet? If so, I'd say you got lucky... "New" on eBay doesn't always mean new....

It was a power seller with 100% positive feedback selling multiple retail "new and sealed" copies, and the game box arrived new and sealed. I have yet to apply the code (time card expiring mid-December, going on vacation end of December, so will wait till January to start a new month). Either I'm wise and thrifty or I've played into a very tricky archvillain's evil scheme!

I thought, that, according to what it says, on, the Going Rogue Expansion Box, that you get every single part of the game that came out up to that point?"

I was mainly curious about what happens when you drop to premium. It looks like Alignment and Praetoria unlock permanently, but Mission Architect (a Tier 6 reward) and Inventions (a Tier 7 reward) do not.

When Going Rogue came out, Freedom was not the game model, and there was no Premium play. I was trying to figure out the Premium perks for buying the Rogue box.

Well, yes you did. But statement that only applied to subscribers/VIP players who get full access to the game, and aside from temporary trials were the only type of players that existed when the box was released. VIPs automatically get access to all that now anyway.

Dr. Todt's theme.

I'd still be wary. Feedback's easy to pad, and boxes are easy to re-seal.

Negative feedback is kryptonite to a powerseller on eBay. You have the recourse to severely hurt them (in their reputation, which matters very much to them) by contacting eBay fraud. If it says new and sealed, it is required by contractual law to be new and sealed.

(it's the same on amazon's marketplace)

You might want to reconsider having a brief lapse in your sub time. A loyalty promotion begins December 1st. If you maintain an active account from Dec. 1st through March 31st, you get a bunch of free stuff:

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?

I have a question about going Rogue. one it seems to me that once you set your alignment to Rogue that if you use a Pocket D teleport device like I have it says that this will change your alignment back to it's native alignment. I am finding that if I want to do a hero side Task force or strike force and I have to travel from say Mercy for some odd reason I was there to Perigine island I have tro go though Pocket D to get top the hero side then go to Talos the take the ferry to Perigrine island. Seems like a lot to go through. Is there a way a super group could have a rogue only super group and have teleporters to all the major zones on the hero side and villian side. Sure would save on us who want to play but not keep our team mates waited while we jump from zone to zone just to get to them. It would make the game some what easier to play and if lets say a rogue decides to go back to hero or villian and once the alignmet is shifted (Completed) Only those teleporters that go to the oppisite side will not work.

Now called Madame Shayla:
Main Characters on my main server (Victory)
Goddess of Justice Tanker Incarnate (Hero) Collen Colt Incarnate (Bane Hero), Lady Kitten (Hero) Jen Titanium Mage (Hero and one time Villain) and my first Character to level 50 Shayla Master Mind (Villain)

The game counts Vigilantes as Heroes and Rogues as Villains in the background. The only difference is your personal ability to travel between areas. You are still effectively flagged as Hero or Villain for all systems except for individual zone access.

As a Rogue, you can NOT join Hero SGs or have any of the Hero SG-specific teleporters. Same for Vigilantes with Villain SGs and teleporters.

Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges

Right. Applying the code now will just add 30 days onto your current subscription, with no lapse in between. And give you any GR goodies right away. And allow you to provide feedback to the seller right away, instead of say a month and a half from now, when dealing with any possible redress will be just a bit harder.

If you have a really good reason, well waiting's OK. But if it were me I'd apply it now and just take the extra time.
