Make facial features randomized to use up less memory space in AE? The devs say answer that it's a really cool idea.

Update: Brandon thinks it's possible (even not hard!) to make global salvage storage.

eth_Nargy - Someone was asking if there could be a random face option in AE so that they didn't have to use as much story memory on similar-but-different minions. The devs said it was a great idea for them in the regular game, too.

My favorite so Q&A answer: Hat booster pack!

I vote we get Zwillinger's hats, too.

I think the idea is that if you want to make your enemies more varied, you might want to make multiple copies of the same one so it's not just an army of clones. So one might have face 1, one would have face 2, etc... the problem with that is that it bloats your storage used quickly. The idea was that you could (optionally I assume) make it random so you'd only have to make 1 enemy, but still have variety.

Or that's how I understood it.

I think, preferably, you could have a lot of control over that. Give it a range of faces you want, so it won't select ones you DON'T want (ie zombie faces, or stuff)... and maybe even let you randomize other stuff other than faces.

Finished with video that failed to load during the powerpoint. Apparently it is a work-in-progress still missing FX and sounds.

So it wasn't just the Ustream camera that made the screen hard to see, it was genuinely washed-out and unclear to most people? Boo. i was so hoping attendees would have some really clear shots of the presentation.
