Worst part of the SSA

I agree there should be something in the announcement about where to find the contact however, knowing it was level 30-40 caused me to assume it was FF or Bricks for the hero contact. Since I happened to be in Ouro when I logged in I went to FF first, pulled up the map and found him right away. I used the same logic to find the 2nd arc's contact in Talos.

I expect the villain-side contact will be in Nerva or St. Martial.

If the next arc is level 40-50 then I'll be looking in PI and Grandville.

Go to the transportation for the side you are on.
Zone to one zone higher than the last SSA.
Look for little green man on map.
If no green man, go to next higher zone.

It literally took me less than 30 seconds after logging in to find the contact for each side.

Really, either reuse the first contact (which wouldn't make sense, I know) or give us SOMETHING saying where the other contact is. I shouldn't have to keep hunting through zones or hoping somone on help can answer.

While I'm at it, can we stop jacking up the range for each one? I haven't played long, don't have a lot of TIME to play, and am barely in the range for this one. Why can't they all be, say, 20+? Am I going to need to be 45 in another arc or two, or need Incarnate powers for the last one?
You need to keep in mind the arcs are a story which in theory would span the "life" of our characters as they become more and more powerful. They probably ought to have had it go at a different pace like 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 with a final rapping up at 50 for 8 arcs but starting at 20 and increasing by 5s they could have hit 50 on the last one.

I am extremely curious to how they plotted out this enitre story as they have so far because you are correct in this 10s jumping does push this to the upper limit very quickly.

The villain contact is in St. Martial and the 3rd villain arc is one of the most fun villain arcs (for me) I have ever done since City of Villains launched.

They could also have the next contact(s) for heroes or villains be in the Rikti War Zone.

Why would an illusion fall on its butt and dust itself off before vanishing though? Just looks really buggy
I figured it was an artifact of them changing from one version of her to another, kind of like when you shoot a Lost with the curing wand and sometimes you'll see the Lost you shot run off while fading out and then the citizen model appears.

I did it last night and have to agree. It was perfect for my widow (pretending to go rogue then bam!). It is tightly interwoven with the hero arc but answers a lot more questions plus beating up on a certain npc supergroup was fun

I am glad they gave me that final option during the grand meeting though. That would have been a little too villainous for me if I had to do the deed.

Of course, I liked the hero arc too - especially the final mission.

I assumed that the "reveal" the OP was referring to was the identity of the villain seen in the final cut scenes from arcs #1 &#2, not the death aluded to in the splash page.

I was looking for the name/ location of the contact, skimming through some threads here to see if I could find that out. Still don't know who it is, or where he is, but I have managed to spoil the "reveal" for myself.
I believe you, but I don't have this struggle. At least in my game, as long as I know the map, the only thing that I have to do is open the map (at St. Martial, for example) and there are two contacts on the map that are green--the trainer and the sig arc contact. To me that make it incredibly simple to find the contact.

You don't need to know the backstory, you just need to read the clues from the glowies in the same mission to get the answers.
