Player's Choice Awards 2011: Voting

WOW, was the race ever close for the Heroic arcs (for me anyway)... my *word* this was a tough call!

1st - A Very Special Episode #457506, by @Wrong Number
2nd - Legacy of a Rogue #459586 by @Night-Girl

(And honestly, if I were to play through the list again, my votes might be different.)

Intended for high level play: The Primus Trilogy (Arc #s 10931, 283821, 283825), "Freakshow U" (Arc #189073), Purification (Arc #352381, Dev's Choice! )
Intended for low level play: "Learning the Ropes" (Arc #100304), "Cracking Skulls" (Arc #115935), "The Lazarus Project" (Arc #124906)

I liked all the villain arcs. But here's my votes for the best of two:

Grunty McFisterson's Two Step Guide to Winning Respect #519044 by @Twoflower

Interdimensional Headache #459592 by @Nebulhym

And... being as time's running out on me and everyone else is doing it and I do play redside mostly, I will vote for my own arc on the heroic category, When The Words Stop #494099 by @Clave_Dark_5.

Back for the next category!

It was really hard to decide the number 1 for this category as two of the arcs were really really excellent. I wasn't able to finish the third arc (mission 3 was bugged), which started quite well, but based on the first two missions, the other arcs were already much better.

Here goes:


Best Arc - Lowbie.

1. Cole in Your Stocking #474611 by @Venture (Brilliant ideas though somewhat monotonous. Still a fantastic arc)

I really liked Arena's portrayal of obsession; it was a great concept with excellent execution. I liked the subplots with Amanda Vines and the conceit that all the mission briefings were television interviews.


Heroic

1. A Mosaic of Shattered Dreams (#497506)
2. Legacy of a Rogue (#459586)

Mosaic got me involved with the story early on and made me care about what happened to the characters. Mosaic's secret origin and weaknesses were both ingenious and horrible. I liked the moral choice that is portrayed at the end.


Lowbie

1. Tutorial Arc 3: Dark Harvest (#470181)
2. The Blue Devils (#468738)

I liked that Dark Harvest introduces the player to the Kheldian/Council story, and the missions were really rich with detail.

Okay for Best Comedy Arc it looks like (for me) it's going to be:

1st place - Whack a Mole: Lambda Sector #508837 by @Bubbawheat
2nd place - Crime is Art and Art is Crime #517859 by @Twoflower

"Crime" and "Dating Ms. Liberty" were actually neck-and-neck for me, but I scored "Crime" *slightly* higher and have to choose one or the other, so there you go.

I fully intend to follow the pack shamelessly for the category my own arc is in, so:

1. When The Words Stop #494099 by @Clave_Dark_5 (Most original arc I have experienced so far. I can understand that some people may have difficulties with it. It is, however, very refreshing to not have the feeling that you're just reading mission briefings and debriefings, as seen in so many arcs. It is also undeniably memorable)
