Supplementary draft Friday, Nov 4th (Tommorow)
It's strange, once no one would have considered a none test server tournament serious. It certainly helps level the field because everyone can have the most expensive builds, but I can also remember several matches and even a big part of a tournament, that we're delayed because test was down or unplayable.

Sorry, I've gotten into a bad habit of double posting :/.
@TheKatalyst
My **** is bleeding.
1) people are too lazy(stupid) to download Test.
2) server pride.
3) Keeping league pvp for the exclusive few that can afford the builds.
A Test league would be really nice to have just for the sake of nostalgia.
This issue was resolved months ago. The only reason(s) for not having a test league now are:
1) people are too lazy(stupid) to download Test. 2) server pride. 3) Keeping league pvp for the exclusive few that can afford the builds. |
1)Agree.
1A) Test is an unstable environment with patches and spite-takedowns.
The Arena PvPers have moved to Freedom. As for builds, people gladly help with accolades and IOS and inf, so that's not as much a problem anymore.
Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!

This. Do you really believe the people with expensive builds don't want others to have them? Especially since it's so easy to make inf.

You're really asking this question? I think people are more concerned with pwning.

I dunno. I've leveled and acco'd 4 toons in this league, mostly with help from various members of the community not all of whom were on my team. I don't think it's that hard to get one together.
Tokyo.. PvP was on Test a good long while and you know that. We didn't want to move from Test, but it was the best option at the time. Now it's on Freedom. If the issues with Test are resolved and there were enough numbers to support a Test League or Ladder, I'd be all for it. Unfortunately the numbers are wanting.
But you know that already. You just like to make noise. I wish Con was still around so he could tell you to shut it. Maybe you'd listen to him.

Two naughty acronym teams / Ascension / Convenient / Artic and the Chillz / Fap / Other teams I can't remember (sorry.. mind is goin')

As a returning PvP'er I haven't seen much of this. My team, which seems mainly as broke as I am, helps where they can but it took me several weeks to get working farming build and then I had to farm to get a cheap build for my Emp which only has two purples and a limited number of PvP sets. Perhaps I am asking the wrong people or not asking enough but from my perspective its a big impediment.

Time.
Imagine this scenario:
@Neuronia: "Hai guise let's go to test."
PvPer 1: "Shut fayse."
PvPer 2: "Baddo."
PvPers 3-5: "Sure, let's patch."
PvPers 6-7: "Lol Test, that's for people without inf or builds."
For this to work we would need at least 5-8 teams with 8-15 members...so 90 pvpers. We would also all need bases on both sides unless we flip our characters to middle alignments. THEN we would need about 10-15 Respecs each to fill our bins with IOs to distribute to everyone.
Now that that's done, we need to schedule matches...and anyone that was on Test in the day know it was like pulling teeth to get anything more than a few practices going and it's even worse if you're the top team, in which case you're basically just fighting the same teams...see Velocity vs. JAL/PWNY Xpress/etc. while you field challenges from a few other teams that want to see if they can unseat the big dogs.
So it comes down to:
1)Do we want to spend a few weeks transferring, building bases, respecing and transferring to bins, setting up test and letting everyone know about test or...
2)Just PL on Freedom, farm inf and get pvp IOs and purples via the market or RMT.
It would take a seismic shift of interest on the part of a dwindling community to make this happen and I honestly do not see it at this point. The last test ladder had So Much Dam, dUmb and mac's team (?) and it basically became dUmb vs. SMD (?) practicing 2-3 days a week until we got bored and moved to Freedom.
We're on Freedom. You get a free transfer per month so you can move your toon there if you're ViP. Moving on.
TLDR:
The test ship has sailed. We're on Freedom. Free server transfers with ViP. Moving on.

I can never quite tell when Tokyo is just trolling, and when he/she is actually being a massive idiot.
It depends on your teammates I guess. When we were doing the Champ 3 v 3 league Peril funded a bunch of our builds, but he's a dance legend and that has its benefits. Generally a PvP team will have a few flush players that can help out or at least get market tips.

You guys do realize that the test server is now a copy of freedom, right? And f2p accounts cant use it. And the copy tool is broken.
I hope I'm not the only who knows that.
All of this is just speculation to help Tokyo rationalize to the forum-going pvpers why he won't join in organized pvp on Freedom, correct? It was great back in the day when everyone was there and you could dupe everything you needed. But with all the bugs and instances of the devs disrupting leagues, I don't sense there is any strong desire on the part of the community to go back there.

If you really want me to join in your events I have no problem emping or debuffing/support for KBs. Ask Dex and Vex I participated in KBs on Terminal Lad untill I got banned or tired of the whiners not being able to stack team.
The constant ******** grates on my nerves.
I won't join because it's a giant circle jerk;It isn't competitive when you can easily predict the outcome.

Also you are missing the point. The most fun you have in a league is generally fighting the teams that are close to you in skill level. And practices are generally funner than the officials because there's less pressure to win. You can just play and it doesn't have the randomness of a kb.

I'd actually prefer leagues on test because of IO duping, gives an opportunity for people to roll more toons. But, most people won't even bother with it because it has proven to be unreliable in the past and people are just lazy.

Lol then why do you post in discussions about it?

It may have changed, I heard that a while ago, but if it hasn't then even if we wanted to a test server league would be pretty impossible.
EDIT: Nevermind, Philly on the ball.
