I would also like more Global Friend slots. I feel horrible deleting people, especially when they come back (awkward moment).

Heck, I thought I had too many on my list, and have forgotten who most of them are or why they are on my list. Didn't know there was a cap.
Go ahead and increase it.... I won't notice anyway.

Really? OK. How about this?
I well and truly believe that a larger number is better than a smaller number in this case. Because more global friends is better and generally speaking larger numbers are just better any way you look at them. I mean all you have to do is watch the movie "This is Spinal Tap" to understand that. 11 is 1 better than 10. I think that more than supports the idea that more is better in this case. However, I do believe that the op said it more succinctly and I really did nothing here other that reiterate what was said there with more verbiage thrown. How this is better than typing in /signed, confuses me as using /signed in this instance means "I support this suggestion for the reasons stated in the op".

i agree that the global friend list needs to be expanded (as well as supergroup membership limit but thats a different thread)
ive been full on my global friend list for coming up 3 years now and i just been removing poeple that i dont know very well and can only guess how long they been offline
if size increase is not possible then add on a tab to show last day online so i can remove poeple who havent been on in 3+ years
