Let combat NPCs take Inspirations

Title Clarification: FRIENDLY combat NPCs
Simple and straightforward: Let us drop inspirations on Mission-specific friendly NPCs like masterminds can do to their pets.

We can already buff/heal them, but when you don't have a buffer/healer on your team, their suicidal tendencies can be damn tough to counter. The most effective way to do these missions for non-buffers/non-healers is really to lose them somewhere, clear the map, and then come back for them.... probably not a playstyle the devs intended.

I have often wanted to drop a green on a friendly like you can with MM pets. If you are a healer or have the healing PP then you can heal them, but if not, they are screwed.

Great suggestion!

Honestly this is fair enough, many non-combat types have buffs or debuffs but no heals. Many combat types could still use the extra help. If your 100% viable without the NPC then this doesn't make much of a difference for you.

Nothing quite like taking on a mission as a defender who has no heals yet and watching the NPC slowly die. Same story if your a scrapper pounding through a mission with a nice bit of assistance till he keels over.

If your really worried about risk vs reward....The Architect system would like a word with you :P.

$Diety I hate that guy. Trying to rescue him with a melee character is a nightmare.



Melee: Okay General, you are free lets go!

General: No. We have to clear out the base of Nemesis personnel.

Melee: I'll escort you out of here and come back and clear the building.

General: No, I am a General With A Gun! I will follow you around at close quarters.

Melee: But General, those robots blow up when I punch them. The explosions will kill you.

General: I am a General With A Gun! I will follow you around at close quarters.

Melee: *facepalm*

I've dealt with him before and didn't fare any better on a Kinetic Defender! No matter how much I buffed and assisted him, he only gotten himself killed anyway. And made me FAIL the mission!

Must. Rip out his. Medicom. Patch.

Sister Jocasta is even worse, when running her tip mission yesterday she insisted on running off along a corridor, down some stairs and across a room to attack a group that weren't even on the way out of the map, aggroing everything along the way.

I wish I could have just left her to die.

I don't find much to complain about with her other than her silly refusal to stand up until all the caltrops have been cleared away! Big jessy!

Or just give me the option to say "Shut up, don't shoot anything, just follow me to the exit." Some characters I don't mind the extra firepower on - most, I just want to get them out before they get killed.

(It's worse when they're invisible - whatserface from the First Ward missions, you can't even SEE - much less target to heal - and she's had a tendancy to run off, aggro things across the room and die. Whoever came up with that needs to be hurt.)

I think you must've teamed with the same people* I have-- Always near death, but always with a full inspiration tray so you can't give them a hand.

I'd prefer to just be able to use an awaken on anybody. I've been in quite a few groups recently where I couldn't hand one to a down free player.
