Entrance. this is a big staircase that brings you into the vault.
For the items on lock down they needed to be secure as they are the weapons or personal items of famed Heroes/Villains
I have to say this was a load of fun and hard with the 300k cap. I had so many ideas I wanted to use but it would have put me over the cap. Thanks to the PERC for a awesome event.

Given what I saw on the few bases I got to tour I am increadably honored to get get Honorable Mention! you all are increadable & I have to admit I have some increadable ideas running like mad through my head. Stacker... I gotta say I want your base entry design in my base. Trying to replicate it when I get free time and patience. And thinking I'm gonna try something similar with our "vault".
Really enjoyed what you designed.
It was a very interesting contest indeed.
And, like any costume contest, always comes down to the personal choices of those judging it. Not sour grapes, just an interesting twist on who won in each category and the relevence to the topic of said category. I've been having some very interesting conversations about that recently. Sure, some bases *LOOK* amazing, but in the context of thier category, a bunch of us were shocked to see them above others who stuck more to the "theme"
Call it what you will, sometimes it's best to just nod your head and keep walking.

I have to say that room was a challenge. a couple things that you may not have noticed is the center pylon there was just a bit off center to give a little more space when you zone in. Start each corner of the pylon on the bottom most floor so by the time it hits the ceiling it flat against it. i also dident fill the pylon in so that i had a clear view making the stairs. With the pylon being off center the desks will not go directly up against the wall on 2 sides, thats why i used the blue cabinets to fill the gap. You will want to add those last so you can see what you are doing. if you have any other questions about the method to my madness please let me know. Oh and one more thing use the basic counters not the one with all the draws if you want to sink the round desks into them and have them show. the counters with draws makes the sunken desk flicker.

Without going into detail, I will say MP and Arky put a lot of time and effort into making the judging very complex and fair. I know I personally rewatched the videos I recorded 2-3 times before I voted.
As someone who partook in judging and having the feeling there will be future design challenges, I'd think participant feedback now is very crucial to the success in getting people interested in another.
And even though I'm still somewhat new to PERC, I'm pretty sure we really want increased interest in events we create.

Hi, I'm sorry, maybe I'm just dense, but looking through this thread I can't seem to find out one thing--How do I see the bases? Are there screen shots somewhere? Or is touring the only way? Sorry if its a stupid question.

Take all the time you need, next contest will not be for a minimum of 2 months (but probably longer).
