Non-VIP accounts and the market

Before Freedom, I could let one of my accounts go inactive and the stuff I had in WW would still sell and be there when I came back (even after 180+ days once).

Does Freedom affect this?

What happens if I leave an account in "free" status for a year? WIll my auction items still be there when I go VIP again?

Also, the "invite a friend back" thing is gone now, right?

Is there a smarter way for me to do this? I have 100+ toons trading on seven accounts (I do a lot of multiboxing)

Also, to trade on a non-VIP account, I need to both activate the toons and the market, right?

How many paragon points would that be for 50 toons on one account?

At the moment. There was recent mention that they will resurrect this in a manner suited to the new format. I think each person gets Paragon Points in the new system. I don't recall the details, but it's not active yet anyway. I'm sure there will be a hard-to-miss announcement at some point.

Thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know the answers to my other questions? How do I go about trading on several accounts in the most efficient manner?

I am one of the crazy 88s, if that helps (TimeWellSpent) you understand what I am up to.

Lifetime market access is a tier 7 perk, so you are looking at either 21 or 27 market tokens to get it. So if your account had already been running for a couple of years, you might already have it.

On my new free account, and assuming that one token per 15 dollars is accurate, since when I last bought 15 dollars in Paragon Points, I got 3 tokens, I'm looking at spending 315 (best case) dollars to open it up.

My plan is to spend 30 dollars a month on PP on that account, so I will get it unlocked in around 1 year. I'm going to run with TOs and DOs until I hit 22. At that point I'll decied wither to use SOs or spend the points each month to open inventions and run with IOs. Since I'm not sure how much I'll be playing the two toons on this account, I'm not sure how it will go.

I get paid tommorrow, so I'll try to remember to post back and say how many tokens I got for my 15 dollars.

You get one token for every 1200 points - it's by points, not dollars. This means that the $100 package, which gives 9600 points, awards 8 tokens.

You also get a bonus token the first time you buy points, no matter the amount.

Oh, THAT's who you are! /e blush

As far as the trading on 7 accounts thing: Hmm. Looks like this [from ParagonWiki]:

Quote:
Tier 4 Bonus
[...8 reward tokens gives Premium Players...] Lifetime Auction House License, +3 Salvage Inventory, +3 Vault Inventory, +1 Recipe Inventory, +1 Auction House Slot
Although it says "Lifetime access to the Invention System" at tier 7.

You should have 15-16 tokens and it takes 21 to unlock the Invention System. I think.

If you buy *one thing* on each account it gets you to 17, so still really expensive to get em all to 21.

I guess you pick an account or two to craft on, and flip stuff like a fiend on the others. Maybe gleemail things back and forth, though that's going to be hideous and slow and run into the 20-at-a-time and 150/day limits.

That's my guess as to how to do it.

Super group access and use the bins like a fiend?

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Yes, and the reason the poster got 3 tokens when he spent his first $15 is because everyone gets 1 token, and then like you pointed out, one for the 1,200 points he purchased and one marking his first-time purchase.

From this point on, it'll be the usual 1,200 points = 1 Reward Token.

I would still have to buy extra character slots for the 50 toons as well, right? I just looked at one of my inactive accounts (incoveniently the KimKimKim account now went inactive, so this is still me, TimeWellSpent) and I had 5 global character slots... that would be $20 x 9 to activate the other toons.... ouch. Am I missing something?

Plus te invention pass and market pass at $4 per month

:-)

It would probably have helped me if the TimeWellSPent account itself was not inactive :-)

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. Gotta check how many points I have on every account.

Will probably wait for the reinvite-a-friend bonus to come back before I start reactivating stuff. Have two accounts active right now (but one of them cant post here for some reason)

When I got paid, I bought $15 worth of PP on each of my 3 accounts. I got 1 market token on my account I had already bought some on, and got 2 tokens on the other two, so I must have been wrong about getting 3 tokens the first time. To test, I then bought 3 $5 sets of PP, and got anouther market token at that point. So they track the fractional part and you get a token for it also, which means that at the $15 level, you get 11 tokens per $150. Since buying at the $100 level gives you 12 per $150, I'm not losing that much by buying the lower amount.

Since you buy global character slots with PP, you will get credit on the money you spend to unlock the toons, toward getting the unlocked market pass.

Also, when I checked it was 1600 PP for 5 character slots. So if you put $100 into an account, it will get you 8 market tokens, which gets you perm market pass, and spent it all on slots, you would have 30 slots unlocked on that account. So it is not cheap, but it is not as bad as you were thinking.

Also, there is a chance that the store will put character slots on sell, like they did with the 90% off on character transfers. I can see arguments either way about putting those on sell, but I'm no where near a good enought marketing wonk to be able to guess which way they will got with it.
