Season seven starts tonight at 9pm est. on the CW with 23 expected episodes for the season.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing how the evolution of Castiel's character and the fallout from that is going to play out over the season? .. Personally I hope we get to see a big blowout series finale with Castiel fighting his father for the title of the one true god.

The new episode is gonna start with Castiel saying "Just kidding guys, lets go grab some beer's and a ******." The new season will then introduce aliens and a space traveling Impala.

I have to say that was a much more solid season opener then last year. It set up the big bad and some secondary storys were set up.

As for what happened.. I have to say I really enjoyed GodCas, but what happened at the end has me excited even more..

Spoilers

Loved what happened in Church, Death was awesome as ever...and sweet.. looks like I was right that Purgatory held the H.P. Lovecraft Old ones..and they are going to be the big bads this season!

I am looking foward to this season. Not only are they gonna have to fight the "Old Ones", looks like Lucifer is back too. I really hope that God actually makes an appearance I am getting a little sick of the absenti father that doesn't seem to care what is happening to his children or Earth.

After season Five I got the impression that God only appeared to be absent and uncaring of what was happening, when really everything in the boys life, and everything that happened to them with the angels, demons, and God telling them to leave him alone lead to their being able to Stop the End of the world.

Lets not forget that through the 4th and 5th seasons it was hinted time and again that it was the Angels, Not God that pushed up the date of Revelations, with Chuck *Possibly God, or his vessal* directing Dean,Sam, and Castiel to fight against it.* Including bringing Castiel back from angelic death a number of times*

I think, and hope that if things do actually reach a no win situation God will step in and help in some way..even if it's so subtle the boys won't notice but the viewers might.

I don't. It would seem like a cop out to me if he just stepped in at the last minute when all sorts of terrible **** has happened to the boys already. I think they should continue along the lines of leaving mankind to save itself so that when the boys finally do pull it off, they are given some kind of ultimate reward like having their friends and family back.

*EDIT*

Also, if god does show up in front of the boys, I hope they chew him out. >.>

I'd want to see Castiel confront his Father, I expect that if God did show up Dean,Sam, and Bobby would want to chew him out..but would be smart enough not to. Such as when Dean talks to Death with some actual respect for what Death is... all out of fear of course but it shows that they know when to keep their mouths Shut, just like they did after Cas proclaimed himself god and Bobby rolled over like a scared puppy.

I'm pretty sure that was just one of Sam's hallucinations.

Agreed. Just because he says he's real... that doesn't really prove anything. I mean... hallucinations can lie. Hell, they *are* lies.

A good episode and a good start to the season.

Yeah but it would be cool if Lucifer was really back, just saying. Also he is Satan he could be lying about being a hallucination he could be lying about being back you never know, we would eventually find out, but as for now we don't really know. Also yeah you bet that Dean, Sam and Bobby would want to tear God a new one, but just like Matthew Orlock stated I don't think they will because of respect, I also think that maybe Dean might try to rip him a new one but Sam and/or Bobby will stop him.

Sam and Dean, Dean mostly. Have zero right to do any chewing of God out. Since the vast majority of their problems they have caused on their own. God had 'zero' imput in all the stupid decisions they have ever made over the couse of the show. They have done what they wanted to do and just wanted God to 'clean' up their messes and when he didn't they got mad. They will keep doing what they always have and thats making messes and 'trying' to clean them up.

True Justice is the defense of the weak, the lonely, the homeless, the widowed, the abused, the poor, the hopeless, children, and those who cannot do for themselves. True Justice fights injustice, it fights evil. Its easy to talk about Justice, it is not however easy to talk about True Justice. The important question is, what are you willing to do? -- Lady Zealot

Except that it was established that in the Supernatural mythos, Lucifer can't lie. Considering that one of the hallucinogenic Lucifer's claims was that Sam was still in the hole with him despite the fact that he clearly isn't, I think we can really chalk this up to Sam's mind playing cruel tricks on him as he slowly goes mad from the memories.

There's the whole "could have prevented the **** storm that is their life with a snap of the finger" aspect of it, but hey. >.>

Sera Gamble*sp* Seems to have worked out the kinks that popped up with her first run as Big boss of Supernatural. This episode was much more focused and revealing ont he season arch then last years premier episode was.

One thing I wonder about though is how much hatemail they have/will get for what Castiel did and said while actively filling God's role. *Which I fully dug. A God like that has my vote! lol*

Yeah I gotta wonder of that church is going to sue them for defamation or something.

Really? Hmmm I must have missed something, wow did not know that and it's kind of funny considering Lucifer is known as "The Father of Lies" among his many names.

Well, they've taken the "loved god too much" route with Lucifer in Supernatural, so he might just be truthful while twisting or omitting key facts. But, it's moot since Lucifer isn't back.

Although, what if all the heavyweights did return, and the boys ended up concluding the series by shutting them all up in purgatory to leave mankind to its own devices?
