Sam and Dean, Dean mostly. Have zero right to do any chewing of God out. Since the vast majority of their problems they have caused on their own. God had 'zero' imput in all the stupid decisions they have ever made over the couse of the show. They have done what they wanted to do and just wanted God to 'clean' up their messes and when he didn't they got mad. They will keep doing what they always have and thats making messes and 'trying' to clean them up.

Okay after surfing the boards a bit I finally settled on this build for my Demons/Thermal. While I wanted to use Mu Mastery I went ahead and kept it themed and went with fire on all fronts. Which Im hoping their damage will kill the enemy before they can kill me lol. Anyway instead of using IOs I went with HOs to get in some procs and the defensive and resistance bonus IOs. I found the best sets I believe for my secondary which allowed me to stack some recharge so I could work on getting Melt armor and Heat exhaustion up as much as possible. Then lastly I attempted to stack what little defense I could. Not sure if it will make a difference or not.
I am unsure if this is a okay build or not I have never built a mastermind before so any help or tweaks is appreciated.
Here is my Build:

Ello all! I was seeking some feedback on my current blaster build before I started investing the money into her and not like what I see or maybe find something better. Normally I play Scrappers or controllers and usually just build around defense or recharge. Since this is my first blaster I wasnt sure where to start. My husband build a damage build but its very squishy outside of teams and not sure really how it compares to any other builds.
After running around with the search function I finally got a plan together for a defense build and I managed to get Smashing/Lethal/Range over 35%. I am not sure if that is good or not but it seems to be the general figure people aim for. And with power boost I can cap those easily enough. I play mostly as a blapper so Im hoping this will work fine in the game as it looks on paper.
The second question I was wondering was what Alpha Incarnate enchancement would work in her. I was going to go with more damage but Im unsure.
Thanks for any advice either way!

Heya,
My main villain is a mastermind and I havent really used her in over a year or more. With the Incarnate stuff coming out I figured it was time to dust her off. I gave her a run and it has been quite the experience getting back into the flow of things.
So anyway the thing is she is a Merc / Dark. And after surfing the boards for a bit realized they arent heavily favored. The concept at the time was cool and I love the character because Ive been through a bunch of a crap with her. But my questions ( as I need to get to the point of this ) is what is the general course of action to take with Masterminds and IO slotting. I have never IOed a Mastermind and looking at her its like well where do I even begin. More so since the pets dont even benefit from the global bonuses.
Where in general do most Mastermind players begin or what are the focuses for IOing a character like this. I thought recharge might be a good area to begin in but honestly does dark really need more recharge. (possible!) I wouldnt mind more defense that is one thing. But with her not being a traps or FF not sure how viable defense building would be.
As for incarnate stuff I was curious as to what anyone else was doing or using that might be sound for masterminds. Aside from that while I love my Merc/dark and I have no problem investing the time and money into her. If its better to use something else I guess Id rather know that up front. I preferred Mercs for their long range I could always change over into robots but I just wanted some opinions from people who know what they are doing before I move.
I understand shell likely never be a killing machine but if I can get her to a playable level I guess itll have to be enough.
Thanks for any advice and feedback! ^_^ -
Heya Fellow Scrappers,
Im in the mood to use the new animal pieces and Ive been waiting for a reason to use Kinetic Melee so now seems as good as any. My initial problem was what to use since Ive used almost every secondary and I didnt want to repeat. I settled on Shield Defense then to Willpower (which most people seem to like). But I finally fell into a comfort zone with Electric Armor. Ive always wanted to try it out but Im more of a defense set person and I dont care for resistance sets unless they are extremely durable. I did a little bit of digging around the boards and found a little advice on electric armor but I was hoping to get a bit more.
As for Kinetic melee whether its a powerful set or not doesnt matter since this is something of a concept character anyway. But I was wondering what attacks are worth skipping outside of the taunt of course. I have heard that Repulsing torrent isnt one of the best attacks in the set so I guess that one can be left out. Any other advice is much appreciated!
As for Electric armor this one is rather out of my zone. I figure I can build for defense but I was wondering how much defense is good without softcapping. After defense I can only assume slotting for recharge but not sure about what else really. One of my questions does rely on how good is Energize and can it be reliable as a heal. The end reduction part of its seems to be peachy so Im guessing end shouldnt be a problem between that and power sink. I do plan on skipping power surge however as Im not a huge fan of the tier 9s outside of Elude.
I dont have a build planned yet as I wanted to get some feedback before I got started on it then post it up and see what happens. Any and all advice is welcome.
Thanks ^.^ -
Thanks for the replies guys!
I managed to make some minor adjustments and got my fire/ice defense a bit higher and my energy/neg defense higher it just means I have to run maneuvers full time now lol. I got the force feedback proc since I have heard some good things about it in Footstomp i can only hope its as good as everyone says it is.
I was caught between going Cardiac and Spiritual for my Alpha slot but i honestly think I will be leaning heavily towards Cardiac for my end needs which should be more than fine. Either way thanks a bunch guys! Not looking forward to how much this build might cost however lol...
Originally I did want taunt but after tweaking the build a bit I'm kinda stuck with Maneuvers...although I could tweak some more. However I have no idea where I would get slots to slot the taunt lol...

Greetings all,
I was hoping to get some feedback on my build and if any real minor changes could be made. I was aiming to softcap the Smashing and lethal defenses while aiming for some recharge and lots of end to run my toggles. I can only hope that this is as good in the game as it looks on paper. Since I've ran all over the forums looking for various builds this is as good as I could get my build while staying within my playstyle. Any and all advice is welcome!
Thanks in advance for any advice and or tweaks I could make!

Quote:You should really let this go, its not worth your time. Its over and done with and posting against Reetta about it will not change anything. You are bitter and you are running off your emotions...it would be wise to calm down and realize this is just a game. Okay so you got caught unaware, as did many others... so you tried to be honorable, and that is good. I can assure you this is not worth your time, it is better spent elsewhere...Even if that's true, you would have gotten 2 others to help, not 4, since the clue mentioned "three".
You really should stop posting.
Let your actions and those with you speak.

Okay I tried my hand at a Damage/recharge build, not sure how well I did but it was a start. Thanks to Destinee for giving me a bit of direction. I haven't worked on a defensive build yet but all in good time i guess. I'm not sure how good it is but any feedback is great...
Dark Knight is mostly concept so while I could or should build him in a way that gets the most out of him I perfer him the way I invision him. So I had to IO around that, it might not be much but I'll see...

Quote:Sorry, but honestly I was just willing to get any ideas to jumpstart my thought process lol. My blaster is a bit of both but it depends on my mood, usually I'm in the thick of it blapping but there are times when i do long range. But mostly he's a blapper why I was thinking of adding the defense originally. I don't care about pvp really but if the pvp IO's have any good set bonus's i'd gladly take 'em.The first thing you need to tell us is if you are going for at-range or blapper build? Is PvP also a consideration?
What is your "focus"? My blasters tend to emphasize defense and recharge. I know of one guy who focused on having regen for passive healing and he does pretty good with it. That's the information we need first in order to give advice or even an example build.
But like i said i wasn't sure of a focus why i was wondering how people built their own blasters, I just honestly want to see if i can dish out a bit more damage with energy. It'll never be fire or ice i understand but anything is good enough for me. I'm guessing damage and recharge is my focus, everything else is secondary, I can always make a second defensive build I'm sure. I had wanted to check out Wavicle's regen build but I don't think the code transfered over to the new forums very well as Mid's won't load it.
I would and could post my current build but since I plan on respec'ing and overhauling it anyway I wasn't sure if that was needed. But for the time being some good damage and recharge builds would be nice. A second defensive build if any are wanted as well, since I have the money anyway to spend. I'll look at what some of the other posters have given me thus far and will start seeing if anything comes to me.
Thanks...

'Ello all,
My blaster has been at 50 for a while now although I haven't done much with him lately outside of playing on a few teams. A few days ago I decided to IO him out but I'm not sure what direction to take with him. For my scrappers I just usually IO out defense or recharge but I haven't IO'ed out a blaster yet so I'm unsure what direction to take since theres so many. Originally I planned to go ahead and just increase his defense as best I could to give him some survivablity and maybe recharge but I'm unsure. So I'm looking for some advice or different builds to give me a sense of direction.
If nothing else then some advice on what blasters in general increase with their IO's would help as well and I can go from there. I understand energy isn't one of the top blaster sets out there but I still love it, and I hope to make my hero better than what he already is...
Thanks...

Ello'
Me and a Friend were thinking of running duo scrappers, mostly just for the sheer fun of it and he wanted to use something with a bit more power to it. So I figured outside of Broadsword, Spines was the next best thing for crowd clearing that he was looking for.
I was just wondering between Fire and Dark which one comes off better or more complete than the other. I've used Dark and I know its a solid set, but Fire seems to have alot of toys for just about any situation where as Dark is just lacking a end recovery tool. I guess I just looking for a opinion from the other scrappers in the community on why they choose the armor to go with Spines that they did.
Lastly since we'll both be running spines, just either or armor ( he'll be taking whatever I don't pick ) I guess its safe to assume they'll be powerhouses on teams?
Thanks for any and all imput! ^_^

I love the guide, just like the last one you did lol. One of my mains ( since I have two ) is a illusion / storm, took me almost a year to perfect my skill with her, and even now I'm still learning a few new tricks. The only thing of notice that I caught was that flash wasn't listed in the IO section, i'm not sure if that was intentional or not.
I use a few IO sets as well, perferably for the recharge bonuses, however i do use alot of HO's across the board for a few of my powers, namely Flash and Blind. I just wasn't impressed with the hold sets, aside from the newly added purple set and I'm going to toss that in flash. I wasn't sure honestly how to slot Blind with IO's and keep my damage / hold combo I currently have with HO's. =P
Overall, lovely guide. =)

[ QUOTE ]
Anyway, since they are clearly moving away from jack's vision of a 'game without tankmages', it makes one wonder if Kheldians may finally be made useful?
I mean 'jack of all trades, master of none' is a great idea, but all that silver bullet kryptonite stuff, while interesting from a story point of view, has always been way, way too much of an achilles heel for the 'epic archetype'. I wish that Kheldians were a reward instead of a punishment.
[/ QUOTE ]
Killing a void and or Q isn't that hard. In fact it only gets easier. While I won't complain if they remove them, I am however not in agreement they need to be, they are fine. Kheldians have more than enough toys to deal with their enemies. The rest is up to the player...
