Here's the thing - new players might surge into Pinn, they might not. It's been the norm for a long time that anyone who isn't one of the core Pinnacle players from days prior just doesn't have a team to run with. For soloists, that's fine. For newcomers, that will be either terrifying, or boring. ...or both. Does anyone here remember what it's like to see a new player anymore? I sure as hell don't. :P
I'd rather stay on Pinn, but we've all done this song and dance before with NC's various "bring in newcomers" ideas - tons of people surge in, screw around, and rage-quit. The idealist in me would love to see new blood take to the game like a duck to water, but the realist in me says it's not going to happen.

I'm rolling toons on exalted but I have 50's everywhere so it doesn't matter. Also, everyone worth a damn on pinn is leaving for star wars.

Also:
There's no way I'm going to migrate toons to a server that requires me to pay to gain access. I don't care if I am prepaid until April, if I want to take a month/summer/year off from upper level content or just save some money, I'm not going risk having toons I want to play on a locked server. On top of that I have two (going on three because I can) groups I have Redstar on and I'm surely not going to start from scratch migrating Those over. It'd be ok if there was a server copy-SG option or a non-casual group-playerbase, but not with a move-toon option and no SG level migration option.
That said, I think the devs gave up on groups/bases shortly after CoV came out if not sooner. :-(

Jokes aside, that's foreboding, and will have the same effect on the Pinnacle community as anyone leaving the server for a different one. I'll be sad to see you guys go, after having been around for so long.

My mains are remaining on Pinnacle, but I have transfered a few of my 50's to the VIP server, and have made new toons there as well.
Quite frankly, I'm going to be playing SWTOR once December 20th hits. I'll come on once and a while to play CoH/CoV... but it will be few and far between. But until then... I'll be running late night TFs like I normally do... either that or doing PUG stuff on the VIP server (ahhhh brings back memories....)

I'll be staying on Pinnacle for the most part. I will most likely move at least one toon to participate in the events that are going on, but chances are I'll likely move them back to Pinnacle soon after.
