Can't email recipes?

I did some reward merit rolls on one character that I want to send to another, but it won't let me email them. I attach it, use my global handle, and as soon as I send it, it tells me that I've claimed that recipe from my email. Is this intended?

I've seen that happen before - can't remember what triggered it. I think it was one of the chat or global servers having issues, and it should clear up if you just wait a bit.

I just pulled a recipe out of my email and resent it to myself with no issues. Try it again now, it may work.

Nope, still won't let me. I logged that character off, logged on my inventor character, made some enhancements and emailed them to another character fine, but when I logged in the character with the recipes, it still wouldn't let me send them. I'll try again later, but it's really strange.

make sure u use the @ when sending something to ur global handle, otherwise i dont know, i have no sending issues either

I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to matter. If you DO have certificates to claim, do so (don't waste your vouchers!), and if it lets you send the mail afterwards, make sure to /bug it.

I tried a work around - had my inventor/banker main send the character with the recipes some inf, and had her do the crafting and dump the enhancements in our shared supergroup base. It meant that I could get the enhancements, but I tried sending an enhancement that I crafted on that character, and it did the same thing, as well as did the same thing when I tried to send my main back the excess cash. I bug reported it, and will continue to try for a day or two to see if it resolves itself.

I had this exact problem last night.

If you go into Options -> Email make sure Email is enabled and then the next 2 following options are "disabled." I'm at work right now so I don't remember exactly what it says in Options, I just know they need to be disabled.

I had enabled them after I had gotten a spam message (first in a LONG time).

That should fix the problem

Does your global name have a space? I recall reading someone else having a problem and it was due to them assuming they had to use an underscore instead of a real space character for the space.


Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Anyway, the options were the Friends/SG email only.
