Did I just lose 400 Paragon Points?

I invited a friend back to play, and had my account credited for 30 days of bonus time since they actually subscribed. This pushed renewal date out to August. So the question is, do I get credit for the subscription in July and earn the 400 paragon points for the month, or did I just cost myself five bucks?

Not a major problem, mind you. I am just curious how that plays out.

A similar question would be whether or not the friend who reactivated gets 400 or 800 points (they get 30 days bonus also).

you shouldnt lose anything, getting free game time through such things shouldnt mess anything up as it does not affect other account things like vet badges

if your friend starts paying in anytime in july they should receive the 400 pts for july and if they continue to pay then will keep getting points

My guess is that their system is probably simpler than that, and won't be able to tell the difference between time from a box, from a paid sub, or bonus time as you describe. Still, it probably wouldn't hurt to ask. Worst case, if you don't get an official reply now, it's something they could handle retroactively once points are being rewarded at Freedom launch.

I would think your situation is basically the same as people who buy multi-month chunks of gametime:

Technically everyone has an active billing date. It's simply the calendar date in the month that your subscription would renew.

For example: Your 12 month sub renews every April 14th. Your billing date is the 14th of the month.

As long as your account is still active you still have a billing date each month, even if you don't actually pay anything on it.

Also, from the announcements, this month we all got credit on 1/7/11, and each got our PPs, each subsequent month checks on the account renew date, which Zwilly has already been quoted from.
