Carly + Sam (aka Spike...and why he couldn't get that as a nickname at some point, I don't know). Just how it should be. And now they want to move Carly onto someone else if Shia doesn't return.

Instead. Sam and Carly can be off, and in comes the new NEST guy or what have you, played by Statham.

Bump it up a few years and have Optimus and the Autobots have Sam+Carly's son: Daniel to aid them.

Yeah I heard that much people who read the novel were shocked By Megatron getting wasted. I honestly was surprised as I figured some sort of truce could be reached. But when rewatching the film (I had to take my sisters kids as I promised.) Megatron really wasn't in the position to be demanding anything of prime. All his troops were dead, as Megatron and Sentinel were last cons standing. Megatron basically was like well you need me... not really but thanks for buying me some time (axe to head.) More or less the same scene as the 86 film, of Megatron asking for mercy, only this time he doesn't get it.

Megatron's only out was if Optimus was willing to let him walk away in one piece. Even if Prime was killed by Sentinel,(which they could have revived him afterwards.) the remaining autobots and humans could have easily finished off either of the enemy commanders. With prime dead they'd have even less reason to spare them.

There was absolutely no reason for Prime to spare either of those dirtbags. Both were highly wanted war criminals with alot to answer for. Either one could easily gathered troops and started the war anew. Megatron was only doing what he was doing for his own benefit not because he wanted to truly help Prime or the earth, he was just cutting his losses hoping Prime would agree. His tone just gave away he wasn't doing it for the greater good. (unlike the novel that built up Megatron more toward making a truce and doing the right thing. We saw very little of that outside of the scene in the alley.Megatron helps Prime to his feet in the novel and they fight side by side then.)

Unfortunate for him, both him and Sentinel had last 3 movies telling Optimus how soft he was every chance they got. (and killed him while doing so.) Sentinel just said he wouldn't make the hard calls. So they got what they asked for..Optimus being a hardarse. I think on some level Megatron would been proud of him for killing him the way he did heh. Megatron was counting on Prime to be soft as he always had been. They pushed him too far.

In first for sure or even the second Megatron probably could called truce and Optimus would likely taken whatever deal for peace. Too much had gone south since then, as the Decepticons were seconds from taking out our sun already, and now forced him to damage or possibly even wreck what remains of cybertron to save Earth. (I'm guessing the planet still majority there.)

So No I wouldn't consider Prime a psycho for killing his archnemesis despite saving him while backed into a corner and his former mentor. War is hell, and those two were the biggest obstacles to peace. Given how badly beaten Prime was he didn't have the luxury of talking it over with Megatron, but they both had already decided how was going play out. If you've seen Beast wars , Megatron(BW) basically comes back and says theres no peace...just us binding our time. Won't be fooled again. Plus they just really wanted to end the film as the finale felt rushed. Not to mention Bay seemed to want to scorched earth the villains. Like Im taking it all with me.

When the spaceship fell on soundwave the Autobots got free. The capture happened off screen though. Soon as Bumble bee was about to get his brains splattered (which I almost believed for a second they were going really off bumble bee. The kid friendly characters never die...aka whoever is yellow hehe.) Brains and Wheelie brought the carrier down and pieces fell on the Decepticons allowing Bee and the gang to get free. Whether Brains and Wheelie survived the crash is anyones guess.



Here's a reminder! Megatron got trashed. I thought for a second Optimus killed him again till he yells for Starscream of all people to help him. Not to mention This happened earlier, and the soldiers beat the tar out of Megatron, including dropping a really massive bomb on Megatron before he killed Sam. It's amazing how much damage he withstood in RoTF. It's no wonder Megatron was in terrible shape in the third film.

Sadly they're complaining it's too violent as Optimus was somehow supposed to reason with the Decepticons when blasting them in the face is the only thing they seem to understand.(It's too dark for kids...but animated is too kiddy..make up your minds people.) Sorry if it was our world under attack, I want the robots who turn their foes to scrape metal on my side. Considering they nearly killed and enslaved every human on the planet 3 times I think the Decepticons all had it coming heh.
