The Abyss, Friday, June 17th?

Spoiler alert: Kicked Hami's... uh... membrane. Actually it was a bit more harrowing than that. But ultimately successful.

The Abyss is too pretty an area not to use for Hamidon raids, so let's make the mythical Justice redside hami happen - maybe even turn it into a regular thing!

If someone would like to take over coordination of the raid, feel free to speak up. I think I understand the basics and can set up binds for the orders... but I'm kind of in it for the fun of it. Good effort is more important to me than success or failure, and I know that may not mesh with the expectations of others who might want a more serious and experienced leader.

So: Friday, June 17th, shall we see if we can start a third hami of the week, redside on Fridays?

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but there isn't enough redside activity for a Hami raid to really get going (or at least there wasn't shortly after I18 launched, and the population's declined since then). Doesn't help that several of the players with extensive redside raid experience no longer play.

I've always wanted to see the red side Hami. I even have a Fire/Emp that copuld play.

Things like this are one of reasons why Tip Missions and the ability to switch alignments (IE: Vigilante), are awesome.

When Enrious was runing them he would call it a bust if he didn't get 30-35 in the zone. If you don't have emp's then bio nukes are really helpful before sending people in. They are done a bit differently then blue side raids or at least they where back when Justice actually did them.

Anyway Good Luck with the raid Always good to see people want to step up to lead.

About 4 hours and 15 minutes from the time of this post. We might not get going right on the hour, because I'll be making doubly-sure folks know their roles, but obviously late-comers may delay things further.

Nevertheless, please try to show up early if you can! That will save time after the appointed hour, since I'll have already spoken to you!

I intend to do a no-retreat raid, but if the first bloom gives us trouble then I will announce a change so we can go in at full readiness. We'll be clearing all blooms (4 rounds).

The key thing will be not to get discouraged. A freaky dome of slime couldn't stop the Ghostbusters, and it won't stop us either!

PS: Still time to grab Warburg nukes! Particularly bio nukes, but all three would be good.

Oh right. This is tonight. I'll bring Miss Kin Ception my Fire/Emp mainly because I think she would be the only one able to go.

Whew! Thank you to everyone who came out! It was an honor to get the ball rolling, and to see us defeat Hamidon in the Abyss!

And special thanks to the raid vets who got things sorted! I was a bit scared when we needed to regroup after getting just one mito down. But we got things going right in spite of me.

I've got a bit more learning to do, but I will see this done again! After some contemplation beneath the waterfalls of the beautiful, beautiful Abyss...

Really want to give Kudos to everyone who came out. Everyone stuck it out after a less than stellar start (obviously Rangles fault) and followed through without much in the way of whining. Looking forward to the next one.
