But blasters and Corrupters can be the MOST fun AT to play. Lower your difficulty and crank up your mob size, then some on the big groups of 8 and 10 and watch them all melt away. BU + Rain of Fire + Fireball = yummy goodness.

You're don't have a costume close to The Shadow, though, do you?

No, the similarity ends there.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

The Shadow was the inspiration for Batman.

Well, I'm not over 50 but the legacy of the character lasted a longtime. So I thought.

I recommend this, even if I'm the only one:

You are not the only one. That is one of my all time favorite films. Highly underrated. Saw it in the theaters when I was in high school, loved it. Have the DVD, and imported the soundtrack on CD from Europe. I keep hoping that it'll eventually come out on Blu-Ray. :\

Tar Patch + double Scourging Rain of Fire = mmmmm hold on daddies gonna need a minute.
Acey tanks on whatever the hell he is playing, and if he cannot effectively tank with it he makes me play something that will support him tanking on whatever it is soo....yeah...Sir Silas is correct about hubby's tankie hit in the head goodness...

...wait what?

Anyway, D, there isn't a person in the game that can say they can't get by on those powersets so srsly, mebbeh that is a good starting point :-)

Fire/Dark was also my first lvl 50 corruptor. Im not big on themed toons, unless making things dead quick, fast and in a hurry is a theme. Slotting the cardiac alpha also gives you a few more io'ing options. With the huge end discount I was able to get permahasten to go along with the capped defense.

I've also recently rolled upa fire/traps (rerolled from ice/traps). In the early stages but it's looking like it will be a toon I'll stick with.

For the past 7+ years, I played mainly scrappers and ... scrappers but, sometimes, when I am looking for something new, I'll play a ranged scrapper like spines/ or KM. I have tried expanding my boundaries and have leveled a tank to 50 (WP/DB, very scrapper-y) Stretching myself, I know.

Anyway, I have the same issues with the corrs as @Dinah_Might. Just not feeling it while playing, or rather, not much playing, a lot of traveling to and from hospitals. Nothing wrong with the AT, it's my fault (Enthalpic Earwhig, it's not you, it's because of me we can't go on playing together. EE is my highest known corrupter as a L33 Fire/Cold) Now, I have taken a defender to 50 (Storm/Psy) and my most favorite non-melee guy to play right now is a Dark/Rad defender that likes to jump into groups and scrap, so I can take a non-melee the distance but I just can't make it happen with corrs.

I have read Silas' guides, very helpful if I could just get myself to go back and play one of my poor foundering corrupters. Now that my scrappers can make giant fireballs appear themselves, corrs are facing an even more uphill battle for playing time. Don't tell EE.

Have fun.

Now that's a sexy theme.

is a lot of the problem. Cold domination, while personally one of my favorite sets, feels very "gimped" before 35 when you get Sleet, and you become even more awesome when you hit 38 and get Heatloss. As much as I love cold dom, I had a hard time getting my own fire/cold to that level, but she is great fun now.

Is Mephisto Fire/Dark ?

In defence of the OP, sometimes when I start to play one of my Corrs after a long break of using other ATs, I also feel underpowered. Something like:

"Oh, I've been held. How did that happen? Where's my shields? Wait...no pets? Oww that hurt a lot more than I expected! Why am I dead already there was only 3 of em..?"

Course this is balanced out by the fact that Sonic Attack- Shout is the absolute best power in the game to hit an enemy with if you're very annoyed and want to vent constructively wwwwwwwhhhhheeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEBOOMMmewmewmewmewmewmew

Yeah that was me doing the sound effect. Train colliding with robot kitten factory ftw

Just to be clear, that's in defense of the person I was making fun of. <.<

I had a rad/kin that I toughed out to 50 as well. I really didn't enjoy it at all. But at 50 I looked at him and wondered what I could do to make him fun.

After respeccing for soft-capped S/L and Energy defense he is actually not bad at all. The problem was getting creamed in melee, and since you have to be in melee to take advantage of your own Fulcrum Shift buffs, it made the character kind of pointless.

I can solo pretty big spawns (x6 or x8 difficulty) with relative ease. There's still a problem with getting mezzed, but if you go with the Clarion Destiny power you can get near-perma mez resistance. I haven't done that yet with this character, but have with another and it's very nice.

It wasn't that expensive a build, either. The most expensive things were two Obliteration sets, a set of four LotGs, a Steadfast: +Def and one LotG: +recharge. The LotG are optional, you could replace them with Red Fortunes with no loss of defense.

PM me if you want to see my build.

I just want to say that Dual Pistols / Dark Miasma Corruptors rock.

That is all.
