Hey guys I know some of the VirtueVerse and UnionVerse users are around here more then in the threads for the site and its on topic (art!) so I wanted to post it here to invite people to participate.

Original Announcement: http://forum.virtueverse.net/index.php?topic=99
Deadline: June 1 @ 1200 EDT

Win a Custom Art Commission

In an effort to gauge the opinions of you, our users, I've put together a user survey to get your feedback on a number of items related to VirtueVerse and UnionVerse. The survey itself should take about 15 minutes, and as an incentive to complete the survey I'm going to be offering you five chances to win awesome custom artwork from five amazing artists for one of your characters. See below for details.

If you are interested in the details of this contest including the rules and more information about the prizes please visit the original post on the VirtueVerse Forums.

Artists include:

We'll be doing more contests and offering more prizes (definitely more art) in the future so keep your eyes peeled! Contests in the future will involve writing contests and other more creative endeavors.

If you're a player on Virtue or Union and haven't yet used VirtueVerse or UnionVerse we invite you to check the sites out and look into creating your own character bios, this is meant for all server users not just RPers! The contest is open to all users old and new (including brand new)

And a gigantic thanks to the artists who agreed to take the commission for the contest, they're all awesome and even if you don't win I suggest checking them out for commissions.

Very cool.

I'm just too lazy to actually take the time to set up the many pages I would need :P

I play on Virtue and always toyed with the idea of trying a VV page but never buckled down to do it. I suppose this should motivate me to give it a whirl.

There are always people willing to help out too if you need it. Feel free to toss me a PM here or post in the handbook thread in the virtue forums. There is also a help area on the VirtueVerse forums.

If you've already got stuff written up its actually really easy.

I think it's great ransim's doing this - it's a nice little bonus for asking for some feedback. (I haven't updated stuff in a while on VV, so after seeing the first few questions I'd be answering "I don't know" for almost everything. Besides, I've already got a ton of artz with more on the way, so I'm not tossing my hat into the ring here. It's still a nice offer, and I hope the people chosen enjoy it.)

Well if you decide to edit any content again be aware you may need to re-register. Most* of the content came over when the site was migrated but there were reports of missing content and some large images weren't migrated in. But I've added lots of nice new features since the site was moved. Part of this survey is to gauge the reception of those items and get some feedback on some newer stuff moving forward.

And thanks I meant this wholly as a big thank you to the users for blowing 15 minutes for me on it. Well and its a great way to promote some artists as well.

Thank you Ran for coming up with such an awesome idea and getting us involved.

As for the drama, people differ on opinions you may not like the artist but that doesn't mean others don't. IMO don't listen to it because there is always going to be someone trying to bring you down.

Keep going with it Ran, I think you're doing a wonderful job. <3

Is it safe to assume that if you got a prize the email would come after that?

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

Nice. I'm definitely a fan of Virtueverse and have used it quite a bit. Looking forward to seeing who wins.

Make that two of us, if anything thats partially my selfish reason for wanting to do this contest, I'm dying to see what everyone gets as a result. I don't comment often on other peoples art but I really enjoy seeing what people get and what artists come up with.

I don't oft frequent the forums on VV, but I am trying to get more entries for my characters and SG. So, I figured a nice piece of art might look good on the entry as well.

The forums don't get a ton of use but they're there for users who have questions and don't want to use the main forums and as a easy way for users on both wiki's to prod me with wants/needs. (I didn't have a profile on UnionVerse for a long time).

About two weeks left for this contest. And I have another contest that will be going up today for VirtueVerse thats being hosted/sponsored by the Palladium Sentry for its 3rd Anniversary Gala.

You should still enter the upcoming contest in July. It won't be quite as easy as filling out a survey but it should be fun. We're working on organizing prizes now.
