Strange, similar thing happened to my PC before the motherboard died out (not the GFX card). I would see the pattern of say a sword for the whole entire object.
Pretty cool stuff though!

Yeah, if it weren't for the fact that this is the sign of an issue with your video card, most of these look pretty cool.
I hate that bug, but I get it from time to time with my ATI Radeon HD 5800. Updating drivers doesn't seem to help.
Hitting /reloadgfx clears is up every time, though. Sometimes I need to do it twice.
